Now that we will actually be able to see what we can get and at what cost. I thought it would be interesting to start a post comparing what you get vs the competition. I hope this will stay civil on a simple price and feature comparison. I think both vehicles are awesome and if the Bronco cost sky rockets due to comparable matching features or Specs people can use this as a tool, and not fuel for a flame war.

Pineapples are better than any apples or oranges.

Iā€™m getting the Bronco four door Badlands or First Edition in velocity or lightning blue with lux package. Itā€™s all dependent on price, accessories offered and that ugly navy pier interior as to what trim I will be getting. Antimatter blue is a close second for exterior color if I go the Badlands route.

Oh I like this idea because I have been back and forth for months now between the two. But the no X-Plan might be the nail in the coffin BUT the Build and Price could blow it out of the water for me. Will have to wait

The one thing I do know, what I like about the Wrangler more:

1 - Wheels look so much better from factory, especially Rubicon and Willys

2- Colors, love the look of them way more

3- Tops look better IMO.

4 - Cold Group has heated steering wheel, while you need Lux Package for the Bronco

5 - Loaded aftermarket

What I like about Bronco more

1 - It is going to be better on the road (most likely) better MPG probably too

2- More features up front, bigger screen, safety features, etc

3 - Doors and roof will be easier to remove

4 - I trust Fords reliability more than FCA

I have a JL and I can say that the Bronco has it beat in several areas.

Bronco:
-The doors are much easier to remove.
-No obnoxious sound bar that is a nuisance for tall people.
-Modular hard top makes it easier to remove.
-Bigger screen, although the Wrangler will probably get the bigger screen during a refresh.
-Better onroad manners.

Wrangler:
-The soft top looks so much better than the Bronco.
-Better look with doors off. I hate that black plastic piece that doesnā€™t match the top on the B-pillar of the Bronco.
-Colors are better.
-Better top options with the power soft top and tan soft top.
-Has been around a while and has had *most* of the kinks worked out.

Although Iā€™m hopeful it works out, the way the Explorer and Aviator rolled out were a disaster.

I have wanted to purchase a 4x4 for years, I watched diligently as the JL was released and have seen all the improvements they have made to the jeep upon this release. I am doing the same with the Bronco, and i am committed to my reservation on purchasing it. I will not pull the trigger if i can get a Wrangler with a V6 plus Hard top on a Willy's or Rubicon for cheaper. I do not like this fact, because i fell in love with the new design and technology of the bronco as soon as i saw it. No pineapples about it. I hope it will be close, because i will make a exception in that case.

Speaking of oranges.... Can any of the serious Jeep/Off-road enthusiasts in the crowd say what it costs to outfit a vehicle like this? Lift, Shocks, Wheels, & Tires. Is this something that Jeep offers or just after-market? From what I could tell it as the Fox shocks and running 37"s

I am no expert, but have been spending way too much time looking at Jeep mods

Looks like this has the following:

Mopar Wheels: $350x5
35 inch tires: $300x5
2 inch Mopar Lift (not sure): $1000
Upgraded Mopar bumper (factory option): $900

Approximately: $5,500

You can check the build sheet for the JT below to get some ideas on pricing, this one has way more things and is priced much higher.

From the dealer 10k+ for the installed package

If you do it later on your own you'll save $

wheels 3.5-5k
lift 1-3k

depends on brands and quality

I think the pick up comes with Fox shocks.

Very accurate on pricing with the exception of the 2 inch Mopar lift. This cost will vary greatly depending upon where you buy it... Assume $2,000 for the kit plus install labor at minimum (or $1,200 for the kit of you install yourself).

While Jeep does traditionally have some fun colors, my 2013 is bright Gecko Green, it looks like the Bronco has the Wrangler beat this year in the color category:
