Hey guys. I’m leaning Base, where Mid package is not an option, obviously. What items can we do ourselves for a reasonable price without mid, Lux?

Remote start using new Fob possible?
Auto dimming rear view mirror?
Ambient interior lighting?
Fog lights (w/aux switches)?

You can remote start from your phone with the Ford App.
You can even set it on a timer, just like an alarm.

Seat heaters are Amazon for the warmer and Bartac for the seat covers away.
No need to pull apart the seats.

I would like Mid, but not sure I want it enough to spend 2500 for the privilege of optioning it for another 1500.
I’m sticking with the $40k Black Diamond. To get the mid I would basically need to to spend $50k in the Badlands to keep manual. I don’t care for the BL rims so I can use the $10k I save for aftermarket.

my wife’s car has all those same bells and whistles with assists and honestly I turn them off more than I use them because they are annoying on the road.

They call it “Mid” for a reason. It really ain’t all that.

-Aftermarket seat warmers that plug into your 12V ($50-150 Amazon)

-Ford Pass Remote Start

-Portable Battery with 110V ($250-500 Amazon)

-Hitch mounted reverse sensors maybe ($200 Ford) *

I’m not that interested in the extra sensors and stuff. But auto dimming mirror and interior lighting. I mean, couldn’t cost much more if anything to just make it standard.

Easy to use the aux switch for lights. Mount whatever fog light you want, hook to switch wires provided with the aux switch option. Same with ambient light pick your color of small led light, install wherever you desire,(under dash, under seats, etc) wire to aux switch. Many small led lites available these days, even have at Walmart. Search online will yield many options.

Need confirmation, but I think you can remote start using the Ford Pass app and Sync4.

Might be a lockout or a feature, but it's worth asking.
That is a big hope for me. I *might* consider the BB again if that was the case. Katzkin would work too. But that stupid dual climate control - not that I carry passengers often.
