What is wrong with a bench seat? Why do manufacturers not make them anymore?
they do, if you count the fold down center console.

Defender has a fold down center console that can be optioned and used as a real bench seat - 3 up front. So hopefully that is something that carries over - at least for the retro/novelty of it. I do wonder how the airbags would work.

It's the reason I chose a ram2500 over Ford and gm. I found a nice Laramie with a bench front seat. The others only had a bench in low trim packages. That and they offered a manual v(y)

Most members have covered the bases, and I'm sure your secret squirrel meeting will make the answers obvious w/o having to dive into any further questions...

BUT, here's my list anyway:

Engine - is there truth to the plug-in hybrid engine somewhere down the road (similar to the almost 500 HP Aviator engine)?

Transmission - are both auto and manual still a possibility, and at what trim levels?

Body - is it aluminum; and is the top modular?

Interior options- will there be hose-out and/or non-carpeted floor options? Is the hyper-drive button that we've seen on the dash going to make it to production? OK, just kidding about that last one.

Timeline- when will we get to see the damn thing in all it's glory and start making wish-lists of all the 150+ options!

Support - After the release, can we get a Ford rep from the project to reveal themselves (or join the forum) to answer all the questions we've had brewing for three years.

EDIT:

And welcome to the forum @BroncoMan

are the fenders, front and rear, easily removeable/replaceable?

for either swapping onto some beater fenders for trail running. and also opens up the aftermarket for some crazy kickass customization.

If they don't announce a hybrid powertrain at the reveal, they won't answer that question regardless of whether it's coming or not. They'd give the standard "we don't comment on future product plans" and would announce it somewhere later.

Most questions should be answered I imagine. Things like engine choices, trim levels, ect.... Trying to think of things they won't talk about...

...What this bronco means for the next gen ranger. Will it become a more serious rig?
Good question. I think I remember someone saying the NEW Ranger (next gen) frame will be based on the upcoming Bronco's frame; the Bronco is not built on the CURRENT Ranger frame.

That could give the next Ranger some bad-ass capabilities too (as long as the Bronco meets expectation).

I think that will be sweet- I've always been fond of the Ranger and loved my 4.0 4x4 back in the day. It would be exciting to see that truck turn into something more than the current offering.

True.

New question: Will the plug-in hybrid be available at launch? ;)

Ages ago, I was a lot attendant at my sisters (then) bf's dads car lot

There was a '98 Single Cab with a 5spd, and I swore I'd drive it someday. Guess who got to take it to some old ladies house due to being the only one of 3 Lot guys to know stick

What stood out was it was the first (and only) vehicle I drove without a tach, though obviously I didn't stall out.

Shame it was one and done, would of loved to of played with it more
