How many are “active reservations “ meaning how many that haven’t canceled already... my best guess they have 200k total reservations and less than thst are currently active... how many go through with an actual order is anyone’s guess. With the delays and supplier issues the conversion rate isn’t going to be anywhere near what Ford is hoping or forecasting

I read something a while back that they were claiming 190k as well. Maybe the 500k is all reservations including the sport and Mach E?

Per https://www.autoblog.com/2020/10/23/2021-ford-bronco-reservation-order-statistics/ Ford announced they have over 190,000 reservations. That was a month and a half ago.

Mark Levine has stated he believes over 75% will convert to orders. That's over 142,500 vehicles (https://www.carsdirect.com/automoti...ert-over-75-of-bronco-reservations-into-sales).

Ford builds, on average, about 7,550 Rangers a month. They build, on average about 19,250 F150 trucks per month (per manufacturing plant). Although their F150 production has gone higher than that at times.

That said, will Ford be able to build Broncos at a rate high enough to satisfy 142,500 reservation holders within the first model year, first calendar year? If they produce twice as many Broncos as Rangers, it'd take almost a year to produce just the reserved vehicles. If they were able to produce as many Broncos, on average, as they do F150 it'd take until the end of calendar year 2021; that is assuming they begin manufacture by spring 2021.

If the new model year comes out, say by October or so, you are almost certainly guaranteed to get a 2022.

Probably all the possible reservation vehicles. Both bronco types, mach-e, and whatever else you can reserve. Thats a lot! But then again didnt tesla have that many for the model 3 or something?

In September Ford stated they had 165,000 Bronco pre-orders. No way they tripled that since then. My guess is they have something around 180,000 now with about 100,00-120,000 that will be converted to orders.
I recently saw an article that mentioned 150k and it went up to 165k. When asked what it currently was, Ford declined to answer. That makes me wonder if the number is moving down?

So I visited a local dealer today to look at the Bronco Sport, as I talked to the Bronco Specialist, of course discussing Bronco6g and Ford. He was telling me about a recent call they had with their Ford rep, he makes an off hand remark that Ford has 500,000 reservations ?

Now, do I believe that, no. Was the number for both Bronco and Bronco Sport, most likely. So then I ask him what he thinks the conversion percentage would be, he did not think the Ford 70% was real but maybe 50% as he said he has never seen a vehicle with so much buzz in his 20 years in the business.

So has anyone heard any numbers from your dealers?
More like 200k Broncos (not including lil Sports). Most dealers are just bullshit clueless on what is reality.

In October they commented and said it was up to 190k.

ok so 190k, still feel 100-120k order conversions is gonna be pretty accurate.

with little or no information being pumped out through the different media outlets since the reveal, there is no way that public hype is still so high that their bronco reservations have doubled since Sept...
It’s not like there is non stop bronco commercials overwhelming the TV...

remember the general public isn’t on this forum gathering daily information...

190k was the number I was told. I used to be in the 60-70% conversion camp but once the gen pop finds out about the latest time table delay and all the late availability items I think 50% is more realistic.
