I had to dig up this video and upload for you guys! Might be my best and appropriate use of "Oh Sh$t", I'm filming.

I don't trust that hill, we watched fail videos online after that happened, the driver wasn't freaked out until we watched jeep after jeep rolling down the hill, that was back in 2006!

So my reaction (in order)

1) oh that driver needs to stop and go home. If that opening bump gives her a panic attack...no way she should be behind the wheel.

2) Between the cursing and the grunts/moans sounds out of her, I couldn't tell if she was driving or making a porn flick.

3) oh hell no... if I was that tour guide I would have thrown in the towel. I'm not putting my life in the hands of someone who's about to pass out and drive me off a cliff.

4) wow... i did not know that about the B Pillar.... look, I learned something.

5) man, that guide is awesome... but I bet she was a "duck" (calm in appearance but puckered almost the entire time)

6) Where do I sign up?

The Escalator (another feature on Hellā€™s Revenge) is even more advanced IMPO. It makes the videos of the Bronco going through it (forward and backwards which is insane) seriously impressive. Heads up there are bypasses so both Hellā€™s Gate & the Escalator On Hellā€™s revenge are optional.

I canā€™t stress enough that the Broncoā€™s Moab videos are impressive and showcase the vehicleā€™s capabilities well, but the hidden star was their pro spotter.

Stoked for the Bronco next summer!

PEACE.

In/on car video is a much better show of how it looks than a video of someone standing on the side "overlooking" the trail. Still, YES, VERY impressive !!! And don't think for a minute that the trail guide in the op's video isn't a pro as well. Maybe not the level of Brad but I recall at one point I heard passenger, passenger, passenger please, passenger PLEASE. Same as the older Moab videos with Brad passenger, passenger, passenger !!!!!

While teaching my son about trail riding on our Grizzlies we encounter many novice Jeepers. I had one that came to the top of a hill climb only to end up not being able to make the HARD left, so he HARD right and threw it in reverse to back up down the trail that goes to the left. of course he gets all crossed up and is about to go back over the steep hill climb when I yell STOP !!! You are about to go over the hill !!!!! He pulls forward and I say DRIVERS as he starts to back up. he continues toward the hill. DRIVERS !!!!! continues toward the hill. TURN THE WHEEL DRIVERS SIDE !!!!! finally we are turning away from the hill. The guy makes his way to me and says Thanks. His girl friend in the passengers seat says thanks as well as she just shakes her head.

So as a lesson to the novices out there for on the trail .......... Passenger means turn the wheel to the passengers side ............ Drivers means turn the wheel to the drivers side. Listen to your spotter that is what he/she is there for, watching the other side or outside he/she can see better. And before anyone says it yes the trail cam is cool but not much good if you don't know how to drive the terrain. It won't make you invincible.

In closing I will say if one has never "wheeled" in the "wild" then one should wheel with some who has. One can end up in a world of shit in a hurry. and most times NO CELL SERVICE.

4) wow... i did not know that about the B Pillar.... look, I learned something.

Would be the same as if you are pulling a trailer. Turn the corner to sharp and you curb shot your trailer. ... or worse.

Cuz my driving training (not off road) has tought me to pivot on the rear wheel. Turning at B pillar would be to soon.... which reminds me... wonder how that changes with the Broncos Turn Assist?

Primarily with the point that you hear the guide make multiple times when she says..."not to full lock" refering to turning the wheels all the way to the stop point.

Bronco's Turn Assist is just that. Turn your wheel 100% and the computer locks the rear inner so that you pivot... B pillar would be incorrect in this scenario, would it not?

Which also makes me think... I guess you can't use Turn Assist with EITHER locker on since the front shouldn't be turned with the front locker, and the rear needs to brake the inner wheel which negates the rear locker (might post that as a new topic)

It changes ALOT, with the Bronc's turn assist, the Jeep does not have this feature. Maybe not needed in the example in the video, but will be very useful in a "switchback" situation, where the trail going up/down the mountain will double back on itself and continue to climb/decent.

...... and yes, You would need to go further, then turn to lock and "pivot" the rear tire by the obstacle.

Turn assist works only at full lock and under 12 MPH from what I heard in the videos showing the turn assist. Also to your question of lockers, on Brad's walkaround he stated you can turn the lockers on/off at will, but more to you're point by hitting the turn assist hero switch it will unlock the rear locker, if locked, and if the front is locked, it will stay locked and "help" with the turn. Then at 12 MPH, the hero switched turned off, or the wheel not at lock, it will relock the rear.
