I know that that a Ford rep said you would not have the connections to the hard top if you ordered a soft top Bronco. This is Kinda silly in my opinion, especially on this 2021 model with the unavailability of certain hard tops and dual top options.

Looking at the connections on a hard top, and then soft top photos ..maybe there is a bit of hope. First 2 pics show connection on hard top, can clearly see fluid hose just above rear quarter body, the last 2 pics are shown on a soft top...and again looks like the fluid hose. I thought maybe something on the back of the rear seat but not seeing anything.

You will not get hookups with a soft top. It is all the electrical that causes the problem. You won't have the switches on the turn signal lever for the wiper or the button for the wiper fluid, you also won't have the defroster button on the dash. It is too much of a hassle for them to add all the buttons if they don't go to anything. Not going to happen.

It would be nice if Ford unified it and integrated the wiring and hose in a door conduit like the front doors of every vehicle, but on the swing gate. Then, they could install the rear wiper attached to the third brake light shaft and both tops would have a rear wiper.

If only I ruled Ford.

This defeats what Ford is saying about keeping things simple to build a quality product. Instead of using the same parts in all builds, they need to stock a 2nd set of parts for soft top buyers.

Isuzu didn’t give you a wiper motor or washer fluid line if you got the soft-top. You also, didn’t get the external 3rd brake light if you got the hardtop (it was integrated into hardtop). So, it’s not abnormal for a vehicle to not be setup for both.

I was thinking the same...wouldn't they still have two variations..my guess the vast majority will be hard tops..

Same with Jeep. You get nothing back there if it's a soft top.

Sure, I mean where did you think Bronco got the idea for commercials showing off how capable and useful their vehicle is. ?

Dang it sure does have it ...
Yes, but it's a pre-pro; there's so many things on (or not on) these pre-production items that it's not a good idea to infer what that means for actual production. I expect there will be no wiper motor, wiring, or fluid plumbing along with associated mods on steering wheel stalk, etc. just like their competition Wrangler when a soft-top only is the build.
