I actually hadn’t noticed this, but now that I’ve seen it I can’t stop seeing it lol. The monopole antenna is a “retro design” I could do without. That thing gets bent and looks ugly after a while. Even in new condition it looks like an eye sore.

Man, I miss my Jack. Do they still sell/have those at crack in the box? I remember when toppers were all the rage back in late 90s/early 2ks

I've heard rumors of some sort of on board communication between broncos. Wouldn't it be cool if this antenna was used for a factory cb radio?
that is possible, depends on the range, but likely only for reception. I am intrigued as I haven't seen anything that is apparent as a transmitter, but it could be something removable/retractable for use when off road or something. This is one of those things I am very interested to learn more about.

Or, over the air software updates like the new F150.
he means that there was talk/mention of Bronco drivers being able to communicate with other Bronco drivers, like a short wave radio or such built in.

Convoy Communication is what this old leak refers to.

Convoy Communications is likely an application that allows for communication between Broncos that might be traveling together. There could be some sort of radio link between the trucks, but our bet is that the system will be integrated either through the infotainment system or via the Ford Pass app.
