I think that pretty much sums this shade of black up for most of us. “Really wish we liked it.” A twilight blue metallic is what I was hoping for; like my Dad’s old ‘71 Duster. This ain’t that. I went for Race Red.

I liked it in the B&P, but not so much in the pics. Looks purple.

See it in person if you can. It's not purple at all when in natural light. It is dark though. In some ways I like the shade of blue a bit better than my Blue Jeans F-350, but the dark tinted clear coat makes the blue seem noticeably darker than Blue Jeans while also being a bit more intense. In direct daytime sun this is a pretty color. Everywhere else it looks like black reflecting a bit of blue or something. I wish they would've kept Blue Jeans as I like it better overall.

Wish they would offer Kodiak Brown. We had a 2014 Explorer in KB and it was great. Kinda the same as Antimatter Blue as it would often look black in some lighting, but really popped in the sun, more so than AMB. AMB looks almost identical to the Dark Ink Blue that Ford had on the Edge and Escape about 10+ years ago. Wife had a 2008 Edge in Dark Ink Blue. It may as well have been black unless it was in full sun. Antimatter is the same, just more intense metallic flake in it when the color pops...

The more people that decide against getting AMB, the happier I am. Will make the color of my Bronco even rarer.

I wanted this blue so bad at first. But as I saw more and more pictures I liked it less and less. Its real nice still but just way too dark for me. Plus the swirls show easier on dark colors. I'd rather avoid that on an offroad vehicle. I ended up choosing rapid red but still really wish I liked antimatter.

I changed to this color after going to dealership and seeing paint first hand. This blue lights up in the sun.

Here are my saves. Again, can’t believe I’m 1 of only 9 within the 1600 orders thus far getting OBX sas AMB. It seems like if all those people on the fence put in more time to see it at a dealer they’d like it. Personally, I saw it three times - showroom lighting, outdoor sunny, then again on a gloomy day. That gave me the full spectrum.

Those videos taken inside next to the carbon gray trucks are great. Even on a dirty vehicle layered in dust the blue comes thru nicely. No one could could mistake that for black....anyone still saying that AMB looks black after watching those videos is just trolling us. Thanks for posting.

Thanks. I took those videos. You’d never mistake it for black as long as there’s decent lighting. That was my point that it’s a shame a lot of guys didnt really stalk this one out. All good! I’ll be the only guy at bronco meets with an AMB/roast sas

I didn't see the blue standout until the bottom pic. It's losing ground in my top 3 color choices.

I agree, I thought it was a typo and it was black.
