I did a search but didn't find much about the advertised bash plates.

Literature I have seen mentions both "Front Bash Plate" and "Full Body Bash Plates". Obviously the front bash plate is self explanatory...anyone have info on the full body bash plates?

Every bronco comes standard with 1/8” bash plates. They do not come with the front bash plate unless you get the front modular bumper. The upgraded bash plates are thicker steel but nobody knows how thick.

According to B&P only certain models get the full vehicle bash plates but it does not elaborate on what is included. Are we talking full length?

The bash plates on badlands are 1/4 inch thick and they cover the front diff and the gas tank. If you look at these photos from Bronco Nation it gives a good look at the full body bash plates.

I just noticed something. The front bash plate is welded to the sway bar?

Huh?

The bash plate is painted orange... the sway bay (disconnect) is just forward of that.... it's black. Got a big thing in the middle of it with a hose coming off.

So, do Base, BB and OBX without opt Mod Bumper/Plates come with basic steel plates on Fuel tank, transfercase/transmission and front diff? And is the forward plate plastic on non-mod bumper versions? It looks plastic to me.

I don't know the part names so good i guess. What is that red bar called, that goes across the bottom of the truck? I realize the black part is the disconnect but that is the sway bar as well?

That just looks to be a mounting bracket for the plate.

Sorry chief, the bash plates are not made of 1/4" steel. Zoom in and you can see the thickness is 12 or 13 gauge steel, about .093 to .109 inches thick.

Black Diamond & Badlands are the only trims that come with full bash plates standard. The only way to get them on other trims is to get the mod bumper that comes with bash plates. The only standard plate is the very front one (I think its just for the oil pan). This is what I was told by a rep at the St. Louis Bronco event. I don't want the mod bumper on my BaseSquatch so I'm probably going to wait for someone's takeoffs or possibly some aftermarket aluminum ones.
