Why is that top on a base? Isn’t the mic the only top available on the base?
I wonder if it's a Frankenstein build?
I think it’s a Frankenstein build.

All the higher trims they had they put soft tops on to get them out the door, and then when a hard top came in the only thing they had laying around was this base.

Maybe those two rear glass panes are 100lbs a piece.

;)
I bet they're likely almost 20lbs a piece though. Taking those off and the porthole should make removing the cap a snap!

Interesting that that image has a large rectangular removable panel in the bottom right for the 2 door MOD top. Earlier images showed a more oval/pill shape.
I think the opening is still oval...
The exterior shape I believe adds a lot of overlap to help keep out the elements and wind noise.

😍 there really is something about the base. Even with these small tires... this really appeals to me.
And this red is amazing. I haven’t questioned my decision to get a rapid red base (2 door of course) since I settled on it a couple months ago. But seeing these pictures really reaffirms this decision. Now if only we can get a glimpse of how bad the suspension is relative to the squatch...

Now I know where I've seen this look before. The vehicle had the side rear glass smashed and broken in a simple vehicle theft scenario. Very impressive! The look without the deed.

Sure seems to be. The window opening and sealing area does not match the “other” mod top video posted on this thread. Nor does it have the forward catch or rear lock assembly.

Without seeing the inside, it is hard to tell. But I doubt the seal will be left on the glass. That’s a leak waiting to happen. The seal assembly along with the catch and lock may bolt in by sandwiching the top to the seal with a backing plate inside.

I've been pressing some AM companies for a MIC window kit! Hoping one jumps on the opportunity. I'm getting MIC and I like a slider of some sort!
Ex picture. Dig it's slider windows!

I miss the old smokers vent windows. Those were the best when it rained and the AC didn't work!
