Reservation #1: My 7/14 reservation is out of state, so want to move to a local dealer. I spent 2 weeks talking to dealers before finding the one I want to order from. Just before I was going to move my reservation, my old dealer converted my reservation to an order. He understood his mistake and contacted Ford on my behalf. He was given the run around by Ford and unable to put me back to reservation status. I then called Ford several times and gave the info. Ford gave me NO confirmation email or any other proof that they are doing anything. I am told it will take weeks to get this resolved. Others have posted that nothing has happened who are in this same situation. This is complete incompetence on Ford's part, imo. I have ZERO FAITH that my order will be put back to reservation so that i may move to new dealer by the March 19 deadline.

Reservation #2: This 7/17 reservation is also out of state at Caruso Ford in CA, but for some reason I am #8 on their allocation list and would get this Bronco early. For some inexplicable reason, Caruso is REFUSING TO CONVERT MY RESERVATION TO ORDER. Their stated reason is that they are afraid I am going to export the car to another country or something like that. They first told me I could buy the Bronco if I paid CA sales tax, even though I'm registering in FL. I agreed to their condition if they put it in writing, but then they just said they won't sell the Bronco to me. I could move this reservation to a dealer local to me, but have been told by everyone I spoke with that it would most likely be MY22. At Caruso, I'm early MY21 for some reason?

I have spent many many hours over the last month with these issues and although I am in love with the Bronco, I am beyond frustrated with Ford's botched Reservation/Order process. I am now considering a Wrangler. I've bought 4 new Wranglers over the years and never had any issues with them. I bought a Wrangler in CA and had it shipped to MA where I registered it and it was NO problem. Jeep was super helpful.

I now understand there will be Broncos for sale on dealer lots because they can sell 20% of the vehicles to people that are not the ones that ordered without penalty. Perhaps this is why dealers are playing games? Maybe I'll just buy one on a lot when they come out? I am beyond frustrated with all this. Now, when I think about the Bronco, I have a pain in my stomach. Ughh!

Wow. I literally don't know what to say or think here.
That dealer in CA is acting like a tool. Have you went as far up the food chain there as you can?
Maybe have emails you can send Ford to force the hand?

I have spoken to many different people from Ford about all this, over and over. No one is in charge, no one has power to do anything. It's comical really.

Just keep the one you had at Granger or Stephen’s. You signed up for it, so why not just keep it there? The Cali dealer wants to convert reservations for who they want to, whether it be to get an ADM or for their preferred customers. Dealers can do that if they want....like people had tried to tell others on here for a long time.

I'm gonna play devil's advocate here. You currently have one reservation that has been converted to an order -- rightly or wrongly (sounds like wrongly, which sucks).

Why should the California dealer convert a second one at this point? Are you going to buy both Broncos?

The first is at Stephens and I am on the cusp of MY21 with them. With a local dealer and the same res I half way in the MY21 allocation, so my strong preference is to go local and get the vehicle probably months earlier.

Yes, I am buying both. One has nothing to do with the other. I am trying to get at least one as early as possible. Ford introduced the allocation and dealer switching game. I tried to play their game with the info I had and it hasn't worked out too well.

Yes it does take weeks. I had a similar situation in which I needed a converted order moved (no fault of the dealer, it was for personal reasons).

It literally took 3 weeks to the day for them to switch time stamps for me. I called once a week to the Ford hotline and talked to their Bronco Specialists. Every call, all I got was "The case is still active". So yeah that part gets frustrating.

On to you issue with both reservations, in the end, that's your choice how you handle them. Like you said, you like Jeeps too. So I guess either you'd be happy with.

I'm just venting really. I want a Bronco, not a Jeep and definitely not a Defender.

You're smart to want a Bronco.

My wife has a '17 JKU.... she loves it... me... I've never liked Jeeps, that's why she got one. I've always had a FSB. So my choice was quite simple... IF/WHEN Ford was going to come out with another Bronco, I was always going to be in line waiting.

Venting I get... like I said in my other post though, it took 3 weeks to get my reservation fixed. Supposedly Ford got swamped with this issue (at least that's what they told me). So yes, it does get fixed... just takes what feels like an eternity.

I got screwed out of an FE...I feel yer pain & frustration. I jumped thru so many hoops with Ford + my local Dealer...DEAD-END-STREET! Had to start all over. I'm shopping around but every time I see a picture of a 2-Door Bronc, I get excited & pissed at the same time.

I can't even decide what version I want to order because I can't get the FE...Oh Well, I'll figure it out, so will you.

yeah, this is really the problem here. The games Ford and the Dealerships introduced. Back when I first saw all those good deals I was skeptical. The whole "too good to be true" thing kept ringing in my head. so I never moved my reservation. I, like you, would rather pay in order to get it this year.

The dealer I was originally at (different story to why I moved) is now offering a pretty sweet deal, and everyone here is moving to them. More games, which are in the end hurting the consumer. Think of the people that were originally at that dealer that were probably getting a MY21, but now 100's of orders have flocked to them, and they likely got bumped to MY22. Unaware of this forum or whatever deals. They just ordered a Bronco within the first few days, and now won't get their Bronco this year, and will have no idea why. Sucks.

anyway. not terribly helpful. And I'm sorry you're going through this. It's a shitty situation. But this is what happens when you're dealing with 2 different companies with different interests. (Ford vs Dealers)

If all things were treated equal across the board, these types of situations wouldn't be happening.

You can still reserve today and convert. Just get the least popular one (the flipper spec): 4dr BB 2.3 auto softop. You will get it on Day 1.

*If you want popular spec like BL, expect to pay the dealer 20% ADM to steal one for you.

I just got off the phone with Ford about converting my order back to a reservation so I can change dealerships. I was told it will take weeks. I'm just hoping it happens prior to March 19th. 🤞
