Just in case you are not aware ... Oil changes in the bronco maybe a nightmare. Why do you ask?

Before we get into it let's look at the engine options. It has not been 100% confirmed but the 3 Bronco engines maybe:

2.3 EcoBoost - 4 cylinder >> metal oil pan which means you get a metal drain plug .. which means you can replace with a fumoto vavle
2.7 EcoBoost - 6 cylinder >> Plastic oil pan with a plastic drain plug
3.0 EcoBoost - 6 Cylinder >> Plastic oil pan with a plastic drain plug

The 3.5L EB in the F150 came with a plastic oil pan which made oil changes a complete and utter mess. And the plastic oil pan could leak. Due to leaking concerns from the plastic oil pan, all F150s with 3.5L produced after Feb 28, 2018 all came with a metal oil pan.

Let's hope the 2.7 and 3.0 get a metal oil pan in the Bronco

This is what an oil change in a Bronco may look like with a plastic oil pan (at the 1.40 minute mark):

welcome to cost savings.
New FCA motors are the same way (other than the 2.0 turbo which is a oil techs wetdream) same with new chevys.

keeps the engine light and keep cost down.

Tell that to the Raptor owners who own a 2017 - Feb 28, 2018 Raptor. Some guys have replaced their plastic oil pans multiple times and it still leaks.

For an offroader i would expect nothing less than metal.

My point is this ... the current 2.7 and 3.0 still use a plastic oil pan.
Bronco will have at minimum a front rock shield. If not full.

cars have plastic everything now. It’s just how it is.

worked at a Chevy dealer for a bit. New cars had to be driven for 10 miles to burn off the plastic smell

This is how an oil change may look like on a 2.3 EcoBoost for the Bronco

Fuck this. I'll buy a Jeep instead .... 'cause the oil hits the cross member when you drain it. /s

Nevermind all the steel oil pan replacements that happened because they got so cheap with the paint AN OIL PAN rusted through.....and rear diff covers....wtf?

On the Raptor Forums, they claim the plastic and metal pans are not interchangeable. The oil pickup tube is a little too long and hits the bottom of the metal pan.

Correct. Just replacing the pan is not enough. There are alot more parts then just pan itself.

I'm almost a little weary of how much some of those fumoto valves hang down.

I have been using them for 15 years with no issues. And don't worry they don't make an application for a plastic oil pan so you can't use them on a Bronco if Ford equips them with a plastic oil pan.

Worst oil change in my Opinion is the 2.3l I4 in my 09 Fusion...what a PITFA.

Stupid plastic skid plate setup. Then the G@#$m Mother#@$&% oil filter is one of those drop a plate you have to spin off and out comes this little car tampon mess while the plate you spin off holds about 3 gal of oil and dumps all over your hands that you have shoved up in the som$!*# skid plate like a proctologist working on a patient who has not taken a #2 since Bush...the first one.

While you clean your hands looking for a road flare but stop short because you don't want to burn down your house. Once your blood pressure comes down into the low 100's and you work up the nerve to re-assemble this contraption with the effort of a science project due in 4hrs. You finish and after completion drink an equal amount of crown royal to the oil you just put in the engine that by the way is more than the displacement of the engine....breath....in.....breath....out.
