I'll stick to 5-6 for the first few years, it will be my DD after all. I have my FJ40 for more, it takes me to the 9's and 10's now. Down the road someday, the Bronco may replace the Toy, then it'll do more for sure.

I'll probably stick to Level 6...maybe an occassional Level 7...anyone think the Trail Turn Assist feature will allow this switchback at Black Bear Pass to be made without going into reverse and having to make the typical 3 to 4 point turn?

I'm gonna find out, once I get some practice time with TTA.

Will stick to Level 5-6 until a winch is added.

Being 100% honest, level 2 LOL

Mostly because I have 0 idea where I can even go offroad (legally) near me lol

Once I know that I would probably stop at level 3 and 4

On a normal basis, 3 or 4. On the rare instance I'm able to hit the OHV park, possibly a 6.

Hint: one good way to avoid pinstriping is to make sure you are going on an ATV trail.
That place I went yesterday, "the lighthouse" on Maui, I was exploring a part of it I never had because I knew someone bought some of the property around it. Wanted to see how far they claimed. So the trail went along the cliff side probably only 200 ft down to the ocean. Well the trail got really sidehill sloped downhill and was just held up by a bunch of shrub type trees with nice sharp hearty cliff dwelling sticks poking out. I got to a point that discovery wasnt worth moving forward so I backed out of there about 75 yards. Boy was I constantly catching branches on my racks. I even checked to make sure my flares were still on when I got clear. Definitely not going down that particular trail with the bronco. Scratch city for sure.

Its a cool place though cliffs all around and some places you can slide down on your but to some tidal pools and landings. Even a lil cave in the cliff you can camp in. I did find a new trail that had a climb just a few feet from the cliff that was plenty wide but had 2 to 3 ft deep alternating ruts that required some 4 low power and speed to pound up. No rocks all soft powdery earth. Fun stuff.

Levels 1-2 95% of the time. Levels 3-6 the rest.

But this is only part of the story for us. We’ve never owned a vehicle with 4x4 or significant ground clearance. We’ve also never owned a convertible. The fact that we can remove the top and doors, and go almost anywhere with it, are very big selling points.
