Hey wait a minute I think you have this backwards ............. I swear I just read the other day a lifted Forester has as much ground clearance as a Squatch. So why did the Forester in your scenario need AWD and the Sports only needed 2WD. That Forester should have walked all over those Sports, .......it has as much ground clearance as a Squatch. o_O I'm confused.
Ironically the stock forester did have better ground clearance than the Big Bend that joined us! (Big Bend owner was a bit jealous) when putting them side by side it appeared the stock forester was about even to the Badlands and First Edition!

The forester slipped on a few occasions and scraped on areas the FE and Badlands didn't, but even with the bigger tires the Big Bend had it had still hit some areas too (having the standard lift on FE/Badlands did help)

Captain Insano shows no mercy

Edit : And if you don't read that in Bobby Bushays voice then we can't be friends.

So now you're trying to use semantics to clarify your bullshit.

Dude I didn't give an opinion. I stated a fact, period.

Bronco sport does not have an option for 2wd, period.

Pretty much every awd system on the plant operated in 2wd untill slippage is detected. That doesn't mean you were in 2wd.

Just stop it.

I don't need a lesson on how the systems work. I know how they work and this isn't a conversation about that.

It could have been but you blew that up the moment you lied.

Go anyway and take your bullshit with you.
Is this you evlnvrdys?

So would you like me to edit the post for your confidence and security?🤔

Not at all, I just know what we did, used and handled the terrain with. Having the additional modes is useful but doesn't have to be engaged all the time. So comparing the AWD systems might not be apples to apples as the BS's GOAT modes would be the differentiator to the standard AWD system the Subaru has.

My 2019 Subaru Crosstrek with 48k is a great car. It's still pretty new so it shouldn't have any problems and it hasn't. My only beef with it besides the very puny engine is the media center. It disconnects my Bluetooth from a semi modern iPhone 7 Plus and the back up camera freezes sometimes. The mechanical car itself I have no issue with at all and drove wonderfully on ice and snow when it did so recently down here in Texas. Sorry you had a bad one.
Key is the year. 13-15 are terrible cars. Burning oil, bad valve springs, bad wheel bearings, the list goes on and on. Spent more money on the POS than any other vehicle I've ever owned. I'd chalk it up to being a lemon but friends with similar year cars had the same issues. Most have sworn Subaru off as well.
