I ordered 2.7L because never in my life, saw a car enthusiast who bought the smaller engine and was happy with it.
That is so weird, I never met a Mopar fan that didn't wish their car had a 426 Hemi over a 440 of any flavor We must run in different circles.

V6s still have 300+ hp don't they?
303HP/268 TQ in a 4K pound car lol, that TQ isn’t moving anything. Even the R/T’s are insanely underpowered for that weight. It always makes me laugh when people race an R/T and they’re faster, they’re not a fast car. I’m like 1.5 seconds faster than an R/T and about 2.5-3 seconds faster than a V6 down a track and that’s just stock. Wait till the upgrades are in 😈

Either way the point was it’s always people in cars with these little engines that try and race me and j just laugh as I leave them behind.

You could get many other options if you didn't have the Hemi, like better brakes.

If I ever get my dream 'cuda... it would probably be a 340/360.

I think a tuned 2-door 2.7 Bronco in 4A might give your scat pack a run for its money! 🤓
A Scat Pack can manage a sub-5 0-60 time even on the street. Tuned 2.7 F150s are typically over 5 seconds to 60, so it still probably wouldn't be enough.

What about power to weight though? Isn't the new Bronco heavy- like 5K LBS? What is the weight 2 door versus 4 door? And is the V6 heavier than the I4?

For off roading you generally don't need a lot of power- unless you are going up steep hill climbs or heavy mud- in my opinion. I had a 71 Bronco with the 170 CI six and that was slow slug on the road- 0-60 in probably 20 seconds. Off road I could keep up with just about anything, except on the steepest hill climbs. I upgraded to a 70 Bronco with a slightly modified 302 V8- cam, Holley Carb, headers, dual exhaust. I am not sure of the weight of it versus the HP but that thing moved. I was young and crazy and it was fast. It dusted any other 4 X 4 on or off road- and most cars.

I had a 2016 Miata ND- it weighed liked 2600 LBS and had only a 160 HP engine- that car was pretty quick.

My GF has a 2013 Silverado short bed with a 4.8 V8, CAT back MBRP dual exhaust- it weights around 4300 LBS. I think around 300 HP, not sure of the torque- may 310. It's fast for a truck. I have a 2018 Silverado Double Cab 4 X 4 with 5.3 V8- 353 HP and 373 torque. It's very heavy- 5200 LBS I think. It's very slow, my GF's Silverado will smoke it. So, power to weight has a lot to do with it.

Compare F150's weight with the Bronco's- is the F150 lighter? F150 with the 2.7 is a very quick truck. The Ranger is also pretty quick with the 2.3. How does the ranger's weight compare to the Broncos?
