Love the honeycomb hood design. Since there doesn't appear to be any hood insulation for heat leading to possible paint damage does anyone know if the hood is double ply or will this be an aftermarket option?
Aftermarket will take care of you.

Also, I know it's a small detail and some may not care about it but why does it have the hood rod prop and not the hydraulic hood strut to prop the hood open? Small details that would go such a long way for the price of the Bronco.

I think the lack of insulation is a pre-production thing. We have seen a few with hood insulation, so I suspect the retail trucks will have it.

Luckily with this engine, it seems like sensors/spark plugs/fan belt/ similar stuff shouldn’t be too bad.

Anything that involves internal engine work though? Hell no.

I like how easy the catch can install will be on the 2.7L. Not quite so straight forward on the 2.3L.

That’s what my local ford dealership is for.

Have you heard anything if Ford will be throwing a plastic engine cover over any of that or not?
My first thought was that they would be but I haven't seen one yet on the Bronco LOL
I'm wondering the same. I sure hope they are, as that engine is kind of a cluster...

I know someone spent weeks making sure all the wires and tubes are properly routed, but man is that a hot mess. 😂 I don’t plan on spending any time under the hood, so no biggie. As long as it functions, it’s doing it’s job.

Ashley, you forgot to add this pic of the 2.7L - this is what it looks like when outside of the engine compartment:

Engineers are working on a new model... I've got a picture here:

Pretty sure this is just because it's pre-pro and that production will have the now ubiquitous plastic engine cover that pretty much all vehicles get these days.
