Just had an Ad Astra Amber from Free State Brewing. Pretty good.

Perfected the margarita. Poured one for myself while Barrett Jackson was on.

I like to make margarita's with white whiskey. I had a bad experience with tekillya when I was younger.

I also recommend a gimlet with St. George Green Chili Vodka.

Tequilas are so subjective, especially when drinking straight. I would just try several different suggestions from your local store.

If you want my margarita recipe, I will give it to you. (Don't tell anyone else)

Lowball glass full of cubed ice.
2 1/2 oz of 3 Amigos Organic Blanco Tequila (possible substitutes, but no guarantee)
2 1/2 oz Magdala Orange Liqueur (Tripe Sec too sweet)
Pressed juice of one extra large lime, or two smaller ones. Note: Do not press too hard or you will get the oil from the rind which is bitter and will ruin the drink.
Stir
Let sit for 5 minutes for ice to melt and dilute the drink.

Enjoy!

p.s. Fair warning. Once you've had this margarita, you will be ruined for those crappy green things they serve in restaurants and most bars.

Thank you sir, I did enjoy some Cuervo silver shots with some Ford guys a couple years ago.
You can have a lot of fun at the Eagles nest lodge in the Argentine area of KC. I am a bit out of place but they are welcoming.

Stick to 100% agave on the tequilas! Places like Total Wine have lots of brands in the mini 50ml bottles so you can try a bunch of different ones before you invest in a big bottle. My current favorite is Casamigos, but I still have an okay bottle of Hornitos I haven't finished.

And stay away from the weird vodkas! Real potato vodka is the only true vodka.😍😍

What? Not Cointreau?
I agree that most people haven't had good margaritas and I do think triple sec sucks. But Cointreau is the best orange liqueur on the planet.
3 parts tequila
2 parts Cointreau
1 part lime juice
