i think it is because the bronco had a v8 before it died... the jeep never had a v8 as far as i know
the CJs had the 305.

As much as I want a V8 in the Bronco, if the Raptor never gets a V8 again, I doubt the Bronco will either. On the flip side, if they can stuff the 3.5L HO Ecoboost in there, that would still be a fun powertrain. Even the 3.0 Ecoboost, or a new HO version of that specific to the Bronco would be a blast!

This thing looks way more CGI than the Bronco teasers we've been getting. Personally I think all of these teasers about the Bronco got Jeep worried so they decided to throw a 392 hood on the Wrangler to temporarily take the spotlight off the Bronco.
Jeep has owned this market like the F-150 owns the truck market. I fully expect Jeep to respond in a big way to the Bronco.

I would honestly rather have the half doors that are in the teaser as well, than the Hemi. :giggle:

If this means a V8 for the Bronco, I'm not complaining! A detuned 350-375ish HP 7.3 would do just fine. Doesn't have to be firebreathing...

This would be great, ford can one up them and say... well the new 7.3l would probably fit.... lmao. Then I might have to sell my house and buy a bronco... wonder if the wife would like living in a tent....

I def would welcome a V8 Bronco, but part of me wonders how much difference it will really make for the Bronco or Jeep. There is definite demand for it now, but going forward I see buyers trending towards hybrid or electric powertrains.
If a powerboost Bronco were offered for the same price as a Godzilla or coyote I’d have a hard time choosing tbh

A nice diesel JLUR/gladiator hits mid $60ks, so a JLUR with a 392 is most likely a $70k-ish Jeep that still needs a lift, and tires. I’m glad there are people out there who can afford that much for a wrangler, but I sure as hell cant.

I also wont pay $60k+ for a Bronco.

If it goes to $60k, I might just as well buy an Aviator at about that price the way I'd equip it and be happier with it.

2.7 bronco with the good offroad package (35” tires GOAT moad etc) will be likely be close to $50,000 starting.

and yes the Hemi Jeep will be $20,000+++ for 70lbft more and less capable.

I'm thinking a loaded street version will be less. Hopefully under $55k

High Altitude Jeep Wrangler tops out at $55,000 so I would guess a 2.7 Similar bronco is going to be closer to $58,000 for the better engine.

and that’s with every possible option

Lol, look at all the naysayers in this thread. Everyone was clamoring for a V8 bronco, but now that Jeep gets one instead, everyone is like " that's pointless... Who needs that power?"
If you don't think this will take some wind out of Fords sail you are kidding yourself. The coyote should have been an option in the bronco.
Don't lump me into that group. Sure I've come to the realization that there is no v8 option and could very well never be one.....but.....

V8 Sound.... you all can suck it!! ?
