The main chipset Ford will be using for the Bronco is the Mobileye EyeQ3 and the EyeQ4, the new EyeQ5 will be used in the MachE And some F150’s (BlueCruise) later in the 3rd quarter of 2021.

The EyeQ3 is used across many vehicles in Ford‘s lineup including some of the Bronco‘s, the EyeQ4 will be used in the Bronco with Lux package due to its advanced Adaptive Cruise Control system, the only current vehicles that it comes standard on is the MachE (until 3rd quarter) and the 2021 Explorer.

While these are not the only chips Ford uses in the Bronco, they are probably the most advanced.

Mobile eye is Intel owned, these aren’t the ones that are the issue from what I’ve read. Modern cars use chipsets for many different things, I believe the ones running the displays is the issue, hence Lux package being one of the deadly 4 at the moment.

Y’all are a bunch of wimps. I want sheet metal floorboards, a wooden bench seat, wood spoked wheels, a hand cranked starter for the engine, no windows, doors, or roof either! All these modern amenities are simply not needed. And it needs to be a V8 and it should cost less than it did back in 1967 everything nowadays is too expensive.
I said this 100% sarcastically 2 years ago but maybe I spoke too soon 😂😂😂

I think you have very good shot at getting your "Covid Edition" Bronco delivered in June! 👍

This is great info. Thank you. I wonder if the MY 22/23 will switch to the EyeQ5 so they can offer some of the additional tech. Are these chips permanent? Is it something where with a 21 you could upgrade at some point kind of like a hard drive or RAM. I know Ford just wants to sell another truck instead of upgrading but I would find tremendous value with ever changing tech to have this option. Nothing more frustrating than a next model year getting a big jump in tech.
