Kinda curious that we didn't see much of anything of the cargo area... Besides the rollout bench.
Are the seats removable?
They do a split fold down... But we never see it.
I'll take a 2 door if the back seats come out!

that's what I'm looking at right now. the back seat of the 4 door really looks like the jeep. w/ the steep angle of the bottom portion I'm hoping it more comfortable. the 4 door has a fold flat split bench. looks like they have a hard plastic back on them so when folded down, things will slide over them.

as for the 2 door, i won't be surprised if you can remove both or 1 of these individual seats.

I'd like to know this too. What those back seats do or don't do is a big part of my decision

Looks like some kind of button on the passenger side cargo area. Maybe an auto-fold seat option?

Why would you want to take the seats out if they fold flat?

You can see that the seat bottom is hinged and probably folds down and forward into the footwell, allowing the back rest to fold down and give a flat cargo area.

I hope are correct. Just needs to be able to fit my RTIC 45 and an overnight bag.

does the jeeps have a piston arm on the swing gate too? Not sure if that has been covered or not already in one of the threads but Im kind of surprised to see it on there (never owned a swing gate vehicle so I dont know if they are pretty much standard)

On the description on the Ford Page on interior options with the Black Diamond the 2 door rear seats are described as 50/50 split FOLD FLAT.

My question is do they fold flat horizontally but still above the deck level in the rear OR does it fold perfectly flat with the deck.

If perfectly flat with the deck I don't see any reason I'll ever remove them.

Split / folding seats (especially if they fold flat) in the 2 door will be a huge advantage over 2 door Wranglers.

I'd bet many of the requests to remove are from those with experience with the 2 door Wrangler rear seats.

I’d really like to see a picture of them folded down flat.

My favorite pic of the two door:

I used to live among the camping gear back there enroute to one expedition or another.

I didn’t realize the 2 door JL was a fold and tumble while the 4 door was a fold (almost) flat.
