I’m having trouble finding one that says it will work for the 10R60. Does anyone know any companies that make an aftermarket pan that will work for the automatic transmission on the Bronco? Of the first things I’m doing when I take delivery will definitely be to replace the plastic oil and transmission pans with aluminum ones.
You will likely have your work cut out on the oil pan. On the Raptor to change the pan the front axle needs to be dropped/lowered. Guessing that the Bronco will have similar issues. On the Raptor it is not a straight swap. The pick up tube also needs to swap. Make sure your pick up to pan clearance is correct.

I’ll be swapping the turbos so the motor will be coming out anyways, should make it painless once it’s at that point.
Does the engine really need to come out to swap turbos? I was pleasantly surprised with the room around the engine. In fact, it seemed like there was probably room for a pushrod V8.

What is a 10r60? I've never heard of it. My f150 has a 10r80 and my superduty has a 10r140. Is it a weaker trans that's in the bronco?
Its bronco specific it has velcro mounts to facillitate easy frequent removal.

Looking at Ford TSB 20-2403 which applies to both the 10R80 and 10R60 for harsh shifts, that has you replace the valve body, it states two different valve body part numbers specific to either the 10r80 or 10r60, but only one pan gasket number. So it would seem, based off that TSB, the pan bolt pattern at least, is the same. I know the 10r80 pans I found when I thought about swapping my Ranger pan for one with a drain plug, were a few hundred dollars. No thanks...

If a person wants a drain but doesn’t want to spend 250-300 bucks you can pull your pan when servicing and drill and install a drain plug …. I m giving that consideration over spending a wad of money.

I’m not sure drilling a hole in the stock plastic pan and installing a drain plug would work very well.

Good point… I ve done this on lots of metal pans over the years but had a brain fart and forgot our Broncos have a plastic pan … even if it’s thick enough to drill and put drain in still have weak ass plastic.

Short of hardcore wheeling a metal pan might take care of the drain plug issue and the risk of a stick or heavy brush busting pan without having to spring for a skid plate also. I know the pan sits up pretty high above the bottom of frame, existing transfer and engine skids.

Are you sure on these?

This detailed guide from FMC does not indicate so: Link.

Mishimoto claims their +2 qt pan for the Bronco (non Raptor) is "easy" for the install. I would expect the Raptor to be similar/identical.

@kr_1315 did a factory fluid volume pan swap and maybe he can also comment (at least for the non-Raptor)

He was referring to the plastic engine oil pan.
The transmission pan is an easy swap.
