One of the forum members asked me if I could get the dimensions for the Bronco Bolt Accessory Mounting Locations on the Badlands Modular Front Bumper on my visit to see the Bronco in person last weekend.

This is needed for anyone fabricating their own bull bar, brush guard, lighting mounts, fishing rod holders, etc. I will call this drawing the first draft as I'm lacking a 3D scanner or a 3D drawing program, therefore my measurements still have some uncertainty to them. Nevertheless, they can be used as a starting point for planning your favorite custom mounts.

@BuiltRight Industries has had access to the Bronco for 3D scanning so perhaps they will be able to share more accurate measurements or even the 3D file for the modular bumper with us in time.

I've updated the drawing to v2, I realized I did not have notes about the angles, here is the added note.

Angle offsets must be calculated based on the bumper curvature estimate and measured bolt hole patterns.
I calculated the curvature of the bumper with a straight edge between the two inner Bronco bolts on the outer face, at the 29 7/16" dimension.
I looked at overlaying the angles on the drawing but when you see the dimensions are offset by only 1/16" to 1/8" (29 7/16" vs 29 5/16" and 4 3/4" vs 4 13/16"), along with the curvature of the bumper estimate and tolerances, I'm not able to calculate the angles with a high degree of confidence at this time since I'm only using a 2D drawing program and I was not able to calculate the compound curve when I measured the Bronco.

Not as accurate as yours, but I took these pictures at Frisco a couple weeks ago.

It looks pretty easy to design a license plate mounting bracket that picks up on the outer Bronco bolts.

My worry is the D rings being in the way. Ideally I would like to find a way to use the brush guard mounts and hang something over the bumper but Im concerned it will get in the way of the sensors.

Those are excellent, you got a few measurements I missed, do you have any more?

(I keep getting interrupted, "what are you measuring for?", "who are you with?", etc.)

You definitely need to stay out of the center area where the intercooler and ACC sensor are. That's why I think left or right will work. It can hang between the outer face Bronco bolt and parking sensor or just below it.

Distance along the curve. Unfortunately, didn't have the bolt hole as the focal point. This measurement is -1 inch.

My plan is to still try and come up with something using the three lower bolts in the center that can be easily taken off for offroad use.
Lower bolt measurements. First pic is for reference of where I took the measurements from. These measurement are -1 inch.

Great details, thanks @North7!

I’m far too incompetent to make something myself but can’t wait to see what accessories are available for this. I recall seeing a picture from Ford (I believe) that was a bar that mounted here for adding lights (not the “BO“ bar). I’m sure there I’ll be a few options of similar nature available in the aftermarket.
