So does that mean you can't put aftermarket lights on the roof with SAS? 😂

ROOFRACK.PNG
So they are selling roof mounted tents big enough for 2-3 people and then saying it can only hold 2 skinny people?

Anyone have a PERMANENT solution to disabling this, that won't break a warranty?
Yes.

They don't offer a roof rack with SAS package so technically their non-existent OEM roof rack would be 0lbs, but why not just omit this 3rd row completely?
This was the definitive answer I was waiting for (not hoping for). I always wondered why no roof rack on SAS. It is a bummer, and has me re-considering SAS of the car is rated at no load for the roof. I had no plans to have a tent on top. I really just wanted a ski rack, and a couple of bike racks. But I can easily do a hitch mounted bike rack. I'll look around for a hitch ski rack, but I prefer them on the roof so they don't get smacked by road debris.

Not really detailed on some of the stuff I wanted to learn about. I’m guessing there will be a supplemental book for the infotainment and instrument cluster screens. 🤷‍♂️ I want to turn screens off, if possible.

To disable the Start/stop plug in an led night light in the outlet (assume it’ll have one like the Ranger). I saw this on the Ranger forum. It works.

Ford website says 150 watt inverter.

In the book it mentions 400 watts 20 amps for the rear inverter then later says 150 watts on the fuse pages.

Is there a way to hook something up to find out the real rating besides putting 300 or 400 watts through it and seeing if a fuse blows?

Can someone read and describe the pics and diagrams in audiobook format. Preferably in a voice similar to James Earl Jones or even better the Beef, it’s what’s for dinner voice. Seems like it would fit well. Some of us can’t read more than two syllable words.
Would the voice of Sean Connery be acceptable?
I do a pretty mean impression of him in that Dragon Movie

It’s not like the the top is going to cave in. Ford just doesn’t want liability for you rolling a tall, short-wheel base vehicle. You should be fine with a rack and modest loads as long as you understand what you’re driving and how your weight and loads are distributed.
