Given the recent announcement by Ford highlighting their new assembly plant and hiring 0f 2700 new workers, will dealers get any “floor” models before those of us that put in purchase orders last January?

Correct - and after something like 3500 miles they can sell them. So, lots of dealers are using them as courtesy vehicles and encouraging test drives.

I think they have to hold them for 6 months... don’t believe the mileage thing applies to Bronco
Interesting. Either way...my dealer is expecting theirs within a few weeks and I am certainly taking advantage of being offered to take it for a spin.

You gotta be dumb to buy one of those anyhow. With the announcement of the "break-in period" you better believe they won't be treated correctly out of the stable by test drivers and excited staff.

LOL, none of those "Mall Rats" will hurt the Bronco... unless they hit the curb too hard trying to lift that tire!

This is all speculation in the end because someone else on one of my posts said 9 months and they won’t sell them until they can get gauaranteed models back from the plant to replace it.

Dealers near me told us that the Mach-E only had to be held for 60 days before they could sell it. So who knows how long.

Someone uploaded the verbatim policy on here many moons ago. And then I heard they shortened it by 1 month (6 to 5? Or 7 to 6, or something)

I think for the Mach E it was four months or 4000 miles.

Yes, it does several things, it gives the people waiting a chance to drive and crawl all over a Bronco and it gives the dealer an opportunity to sell even more Broncos.

Think about all us idiots willing to buy something sight unseen, and still willing to wait. Now imagine the people who actually get to drive a Bronco as they are probably even more willing to wait.

Win, win for Ford and the dealers.

From what I understand the demo units were technically built before OKTB. So I think it was worth waiting for final production approval for my vehicle.

If there are issues with the dealer demos they can always either fix them or crush them.

The Ford Courtesy Vehicles were built first. Ford has 3000 dealers, and most dealers I know are getting two. I presume that really small dealers probably only get one.

Supposedly they were all built with soft tops due to the hard top shortage. The dealers get to use them for demos, or as loaners. Typically if not being held for demos or test drives they would be lent out to someone with a car in the service shop.

How long they have to keep them is a bit of a moving target, but if you do the math it basically comes down to "you are not allowed to sell them until December".

Bronco's for dealer stock are supposed to go behind customer orders. However, by now I think that everyone fully expects Ford to start building soft top dealer orders before everyone gets their hard top.

Was originally 7 and shortened to 6. No mileage limit/requirement.

Excuse everything from my end, it’s all a lie to just try and get info out of them on the demo. 😂
