Just like a 'Millennial' I like INSTANT GRATIFICATION. So yeah I'll take that 0.5s thanks ? And still sound better than your v6 twin turbo....

Only problem is, I'm gonna need @JimmyDean to help me squeeze that 7.3l in my new Bronco first!!
I hear ya. It would be cool. Absolutely. Just not practical.
Give me that 2.7 and $5,000 and it will be 500hp 550lbft in no time.
Vs swapping in a v8 for $15,000+

What?!! The 2.7L V6 is faster than the 5.0L V8?!! Oh shyt! Forget the V8's then. Team V6 forevar!!

Ugh...I'd be happier having a 1987 Speed Density 302HO from a foxbody in it than any of these modern "faster" 4 or 6 bangers.

It's about the feel and sound. Any of the modern I4, V6, V8 engines can move the Bronco without much struggle.

That’s why I laugh at all these guys that say “what? No v8?? NO SALE! I’ll keep my (insert 70/80/90s Truck)” because even big 454/440/400ci trucks from that era had similar power and torque To the 2.3 ecoboost. Let alone 2.7

Do you know what a torque converter does?
yes I’m fully aware what a torque converter does. Hence why the engine spoils up to 1500+ rpm instantly. Slushy.

Or is it a turbo tows better .... just not at low rpm... and last I checked from a stop, my rpm starts around 750, not 2000 or wherever your turbo kicks in.

Both make 300ft-lb by 2750. Your torque converter skips any RPM under its flash point, so this 1000-1500rpm torque that people really try and hang their V8 hats on doesn't actually matter at all.

Just say, "I think a V8 sounds better" and be done with it - you can't win on performance, efficiency, or reliability anymore.

Or... can I just say..... (Doug get your hammer out)..... Hey dick, I'm not trying to win on performance. I'm just voicing MY PREFERENCE. If you don't like it, I don't care.

Any questions?

Sure a v8 sounds better 7 ways to Sunday.

but mpg, capability, cheap power, low end torque. Nothing beats a v6turbo.

there will be 500+hp 550+ lbft Broncos just with a few bolt ons and mods.
Not to mention the fact that after a while you get sick of the drone that V8 with an exhaust makes. Sure, it's fun for a while but for me personally I'd rather have a quieter exhaust in the long run. Some aftermarket manufacturers are even creating quieter systems that still get performance benefits or at least an option to quiet the exhaust when say driving long distances on the highway.

Also any one complaining about the size of the engine choices.
thats been an argument since 1975 when sizes peaked.
Sedans were getting 5.0L low end 7.5L high end. Now it’s 2.0L low and 3.5h and it’s only going down with hybrids. (That’s about 0.08L/ 5CI a year)

which just validated my thought that in 40 years there won’t be ICE in most cars.

I have a Hemi Ram 1500 and 2.7T F150, ecoboost is better at everything. Just feels more powerful, holds hills at a lower rpm and quicker.

Hemi has exhaust modification, and yes it is gloriously loud.

I have zero issue with buying an ecoboost.

Anyone make a adapter plate for a 460 to mate to the HD truck 7 speed? :ROFLMAO:
I got one sitting in my econoline that had a trans fire. A good rebuild should give me 375 hp 450 tq and if the 2 door is light enough it should get 10 mpg maybe 11 with OD,

In 40 years i will be 75 and wondering how the pull 600hp out of a 200ml 3 cyl neutron compression biturbo.
