Anyone know what the permissible speed is with the soft top tucked all the way down? can you drive it at highway speeds? can you treat it as a true convertible?

Yeah if the soft top is all the way down you can drive as fast as you want.Anyone know what the permissible speed is with the soft top tucked all the way down? can you drive it at highway speeds? can you treat it as a true convertible?
These guys are getting it on the back roads with the top down.Anyone know what the permissible speed is with the soft top tucked all the way down? can you drive it at highway speeds? can you treat it as a true convertible?
Also CDC advises top-down is dangerous due to getting hit by floating COVID particles so wear a mask.Ford has said in their multitude of emails that the top speed of the Bronco during the 280,000 mile break in period is 35mph. With the top down you are not to ever exceed 3 and 3/4 MPH.
I like these guys as much as TFL's Tommy and Andre...These guys are getting it on the back roads with the top down.
Serious questions...Is the "break in period" a real thing? If so, what are the details? What are the consequences of not following it?Ford has said in their multitude of emails that the top speed of the Bronco during the 280,000 mile break in period is 35mph. Being the owner of a Jeep I call shenanigans. With he Jeep, I’ve driven 80mph with too folded back and all the way down. Neither gave me any issues.
I’m not sure what you mean? I’d fold my premium twill top back to the first open position and drive 80mph on the interstate without issue. That’s probably no recommended but it never gave me a problem.Being the owner of a Jeep I call shenanigans.
Maybe it was downhill?
In all sincerity, I agree. Soft top down you can go as fast as legally possible and then some.
If you can take the decibels of the rushing air (less than a motorcycle but till more than any closed-cab ride offers).
Didn't mean anything offensive.I’m not sure what you mean? I’d fold my premium twill top back to the first open position and drive 80mph on the interstate without issue. That’s probably no recommended but it never gave me a problem.
I got ya. The JKs have no problem reaching 80 anymore.$Didn't mean anything offensive.
I was more poking fun at the fact Jeep and 80MPH were in the same sentence.
Among the older TJ crowd we have a lot of fun back-and-forth with the lack of speed and the fact that anything over about a 1% grade and you are downshifting from 5th.
But yours is newer, and I'm a bit jealous of the twill top. I have a standard 2001 era soft top, heard good things about the twill ones.
Be nice, no foot, and don't tow for the first 1000 miles. (Testing 0-60 is a no-no.) Doesn't say it, but commonly for about the first 500 miles vary engine speed (i.e., don't set the cruise control for long periods of time).Serious questions...Is the "break in period" a real thing?
