I’ll probably get this, but curious as to all the hate on the hood prop stick. Am I the only person it doesn’t bother? Lol
Our 2005 F150 came with struts. Probably you’re the only one who doesn’t feel screwed by that penny pinching.

I wonder why Ford didn’t add these from the factory? Risk of the hood flying open on rough roads?
I’m guessing cost and the fact that nobody is struggling to raise an aluminum hood.

They'll stop the hate when the gas springs wear out in 5 years and no longer support the hood and go back to the support rod. Lol

The only issue with this mod is it limits the opening of the hood wider if you need to get to the firewall.

I can honestly say, that I have never, once, upon opening the hood on a vehicle, had the thought of wishing for struts when they weren't present. The tried and true prop rod is king.

I don't think anyone needs this, but for $100 it's a nice cheap mod. I can easily live without it, but I will pick them up

The factory gas struts on my 2015 MKZ are still fine today. 🤷‍♂️

Looks very similar to WamRods, which I have installed on several of my older truck builds.
Installation is fairly simple and straight forward.
Be forewarned though that to get to the backside of that inner fender ball end, you may need help from someone with very small hands (and abnormally long forearms) or remove the inner fender to get the nut on the backside of the threaded end...Or these could be a totally different design.

On some of my builds I have actually inserted a Rivnut on the inner portion of the fender, and for the intended purpose, it worked out very well.

The hood end usually uses an existing threaded hole.

At least on the WamRods designs.

These may be totally different, as I have not used any Redline stuff, yet, but will check them out for sure.

Sold for sure. Had some on my 2014 Mustang and they were very easy to install and worked like a charm
