FWIW - I'd still rather have the MIC over a soft top. For now it's just cosmetic, albeit not up to spec. Imo it still beats the look of the soft tops.

I haven't seen any mention or photos of this phenomenon yet. Just today I noticed a honeycomb or snakeskin like pattern starting to appear on most of the rear shell.

Anyone else also experience this? Is it UV related? Reaction with Meguiars Hybrid Ceramic Wax? Something internal?

Thanks for sharing… quality of MIC is big concern. Hope Ford takes immediate action to resolve TQ of this German supplier. Seems they’ve been a major disaster in supply and quality.

That line threw me off too, but if you "zoom out" by looking at the other pictures you'll notice the jag is the pocket for the roof rack.

Most are blaming Webasto but to me, based on my experience, this has poor design written all over it.
Engineering is responsible for designing products that can be manufactured timely, efficiently with consistency and quality for the right cost. Whether Ford did this in conjunction with Webasto or on their own the engineers involved definitely missed the part about manufacturability for efficiency and quality.

As an 8/2, two door, Sasquatch, 2.7, tow package reservation holder I’m hoping by the time mine gets built they’ve got this figured out.

Ford will end up assuming controlling interest of Webasto, if not taking Webasto over as a subsidiarity of FoMoCo after all the loss of revenue and breach of contract damages.

I've been wondering about 'care' products myself....with all the fancy chemistry involved in plastics today, I think we need a manufacturer's recommendation. Anyone seen one yet?

I’m with you. All the soft tops look like they are 10 years old .
