I now consider the MIC hardtop disposable . . . obviously a fragile piece of junk . . . Very disappointing
Yes this outlook works for me too -
Ford can just ship Broncos with the crummy MIC hardtop - a "disposable" item -
Then we'll spend the next few years looking for a durable hardtop - maybe MOD top - or maybe the aftermarket will step up with something really good -

Yes, this morning. 2dr mic. Blend 7/19, built 7/20, shipped today . . .
. . . if I were Ford . . . I'd be doing cursory comb thrus of tops and letting em run, which appears to be what they're doing . . .
Thanks - Good News -
Right - Ford should just keep shipping Broncos - we'll worry about the crummy MIC hardtop later - consider it disposable -

just ship my bronco. I’ll deal with the top later. At some point they’ll have to get it right and have a bunch of warranty claims or aftermarket will step up.

Your boots were made for riding, Broncos that is.

I would ultimately like a premium top like a mod top or something similar from the aftermarket.
I plan to steer clear of the mic top and change to the soft top and get a premium top later.
I am sure that Ford will keep their foot on the gas and keeps producing Broncos asap, because $$$

Yep I wanna ride the Bronco - YeeHaaw -

Yeah hopefully Ford will really get it right with the MOD top so we can have a durable high quality hardtop option -
Aluminum sounds good too - or even steel w power sunroof -
I'll probably never remove the hardtop except to replace the MIC -
Yep - "foot on the gas" - I hope Ford hears us -

There is an opportunity here, since the MIC seems to be sore spot. Someone needs to step up and create a quality one. But these are the "growing pains" when dealing with a new model.

I would be happy with an aluminum one piece top. Door and latch for the back drivers window. I am unlikely to run without a top. Or make all back windows removable.

Disposable? Wtf? I’m not buying a vehicle with a disposable roof and I’m certainly not paying extra to get one that isn’t a piece of shit, fix your shit Ford.

Ship the Broncos,brilliant idea!
We can address the top issues later.
Huge opportunity for the aftermarket to step up and really shine.

Perhaps a dumb question, but I have a convertible where the tops were defective and they were all replaced subsequently with a recall so...

The crappy tops, are they somehow fixing them? If not, aside from the back end logistics issues, why not just ship the Broncos with the structurally sound but cosmetically jacked up tops and replace them at the dealer in a year or two? Or is there some rule against shipping a vehicle with a pre-existing recall sitting on it?

Yeah still have lux, tow, sas, mod bumper, 2.7 all as holding things up. The MIC top is just the most obvious problem, but there are still a ton of issues with Ford’s supply chain
