Saw the same article. It is not just for an engine, but a new transmission as well. And for those wanting a stick V8, they can do that too!

I wonder if this can be an option for the people who wanted the base bronco.

28+30 is about the price of a likely fully decked out badlands/wildtrack.

Might be a good option for some

I think the stick transmission might add more cost since it will have to handle a lot of torque and power.

The twin turbo V6 in the Explorer was the fastest police vehicle for 2019. So Iā€™m sure with some mild tuning, that 2.7l will provide more than enough power, and a nice tuned exhaust will help with the sound.

The Coyote is a lottery-win nostalgia wishlist item, just because my 75 had a 302, but a 4BT or LWN Duramax? Sign me right tf up.

30k isnt bad for an engine like that.

Problem is what would it do to the car itself? can the transmission handle something like that?

I never understood how these massive freak engine swaps work.
In the TFL video they said that the price includes a new 10 speed auto to work with the v8 because of the computer and the v8 either isn't compatible or they don't know how to make it work with the stock transmission.

Good luck w/ the rest of the drivetrain handling that power
I was wondering about this as well. I have a 2013 F150 with the 5.0 and I was seriously considering getting the 2.7L powerplant and doing a straight up swap..... Then I remembered one special thing. "warranty"!

Put a huge snail on the 2.3L, Flex Fuel, and supporting mods....and you wonā€™t look twice at a V8 offer. Personally, when the time comes....a fully built forged bottom end will be the goal for my future Bronco. This way, I can make V8 power and torque in a lightweight package, while having excellent reliability and durability. Win Win!

Still love V8 too...

I was looking under the hood of a new Ranger yesterday and, unless the Bronco is considerable wider, I donā€™t think a Coyote would fit. Iā€™m mean Iā€™m sure it could be made to fit but it would be like a new Superduty where itā€™s easier to take the cab off the frame to work on.

What's the obsession with having a vehicle like this be fast? My car is tuned, makes 400 at the wheels and i literally want a slower vehicle because even when my car was stock there was no need for it to be that quick (other than people saying my car is fast - which it really isnt that fast compared to other cars)
Same - Iā€™ve got 450hp right now and itā€™s too much. its fun a few times a year in the right road, but itā€™s scary as hell in any rain or cold weather. Itā€™s uncomfortable and impractical. Canā€™t wait to have something thats usable and fun in all conditions.

I'm just keeping my truck if I want to drive a 5.0. That is highway robbery right there.

This.

I donā€™t get it.
