Those tops will hold up just fine painted, sand, prep solve wipe, adhesion promoter, 2K primer, paint and clear....

I am VERY curious to see if the sanding and painting has any effect on the honeycombing. It should either mostly stop it or make it way worse. My money is on the latter given the thickness of paint relative to the MIC material but we’ll see. Fingers crossed it fixes it!

We don’t know what paint was used on the top, but it doesn’t appear to be any special paint or process specific to the material being painted. In other words, it looks like the same paint the dealer would use on a car body.

I want to paint my top, but Linex is the way I intend to go. They have a fantastic history on Jeep tops; and provide phenomenal protection against scrapes and scratches.

Coolest thing I have seen on this forum @LadyBronco! Soo awesome to see something without anything bigger than 35" tires and some crazy lift (the stock Bronco is perfect in my eyes, leaving it suspension wise and tire size the same).

So is the top image the after or before? Linex then paint or linex over the painted top?
