So Webasto should get these knocked out by 2024ish?
I don't think anyone can realistically predict anything MIC related. 2 door will have different tooling than 4 door and may offer different issues. I think we won't know much until October if that time frame is met. I didn't see anyone ask about 2 door specific tooling and if it will also be expected in October.

I don't know about Wabasto, but if Ford keeps running a 18-19 % 2D Mix there will probably be 8000-9000 of the 32000 who won't see a truck in MY22

FOMOCO: You should really consider switching to a soft top, in fact we encourage you to switch. These soft tops are amazing and not the old soft tops. Plus we can actually build your truck.

Me: That sounds great. Can you put it on my 2 door then?

And with the factory four door soft top you also get these fabulous, although hideous, wrinkles in the rear windows…🤪

What’s the source for these numbers?
Short Answer is Ford.

Longer answer is tying together information from Ford shared on this forum and connecting a few dots.

It's kind of like allocation, very complicated. But unlike Esteban, I will take you through it.

1. Total orders = +/- 125000 (various sources including Ford press releases)

Ford news release ""But production is underway to fill the 125,000 reservations that have been converted to orders, Farley says. The SUV is essentially sold out for two years."

2. Initial order mix before production (shared with dealers in April at beginning of production). USOD is the mix of those orders.

Ford Bronco 2 Door Bronco Loses Big 1628895227871

3. 125000*29%= +/- 36300 2D orders

4. Through end of July Ford built 13380 Broncos per their reports

Gross Stock and Production Stats:

890C1DF4-8057-417B-AE7A-63468C773A62.jpeg
5. All those had vins and their mix has been running 17% 2D

6. So lets say 13380*17% = 2275 2D built though end of July

7.August the was "BIG" month where Broncos would be at " Full production"

Here's the first week whiteboard at MAP fully scheduled before later announced shutdowns. The whole month was scheduled with Vins at that time before the hard stop

Ford Bronco 2 Door Bronco Loses Big 1628898383662

8. Lets assume 1st week of August schedule (523 2D) carried out to end of the month
523 *4 = 2096 scheduled 2D (w/ Vin)

9. 2275 (through July)+2096 (Aug) =4371 2D Vins

10. No more new 2D Vins (except FE's) will be issued for MY21

Based on the info released 2dr hardtop production should start rolling decently after Nov/Dec cleanup of the FEs and bad batches. So Q1/Q2 should be expected for early reservations if the start producing good tops at volume to support the 500+/day mix. There is just not that many 2dr orders, so I bet they catch up quickly.

In my scenario I've been scheduled but surely will push to late '21 or early'22.
Likelyhood of this happening is very slim. I'll bet they're still assembling 21s in January and 22 production starts mid February. Maybe a few tops will be released late October but I don't see how they'll hit production speeds then. Especially given where they're starting. Low output, poor quality, weight concerns. I hope I'm wrong!

I am not buying a $60k vehicle that I dont like... My 7/14/2020 reservation (and subsequent 2/21 order) was/is for a 2dr Wildtrak with a black modular top... What I originally hoped was going to be a MY2021 has gone to MY2022 ... then to MY2023... and now who knows when or if the rockstars will ever get the job done.... The incompetence of the world today is truly incredible.
Maybe I missed something. I watched the round table yesterday and also got my letter from Ford earlier today saying my 2021 resi/order is going to be a 2022MY. Why is yours now a 2023?

Sat in a dealer's 4-door mannequin earlier today.

That B pillar is brutal. It's not even even with my shoulder, it's ahead of it. Seriously intrudes into the driver's space.

So hey 2door friends,
What's keeping you from changing to more doors?
More color options? ManSquatch? Maybe fix the damn carpet off the rear seats?
I’ve owned three two door Bronco’s in my life, the last one was the 87 I owned for 23 years. I have no interest in the four door because I don’t have kids and don’t need the space. I live in an area with small roads and smaller parallel parking spaces, so a shorter vehicle is easier to maneuver. If I end up doing any serious off-roading I prefer the short wheelbase for tight trails. I’m a guy who bought a super cab Raptor over a crew cab for the same reasons.

Since we’re getting kicked to 2022 I’m looking forward to a base Mansquatch. Unfortunately they will probably only offer the Mansquatch in a Badlands and I won’t buy it. I put in a second reservation earlier this month so I’d be in line for a Mansquatch later if my 21 had been built.

If I were getting a four door SUV I’d go with the Lexus GX460. A small lift, bigger tires, bumpers, sliders, and gears make those damn good looking rigs.

I just picked up an accessory for my 2dr Badlands when it comes in next year………I accessorized it with a 4dr BB that someone refused to take delivery.

I’ll actually trade it in on the 2dr if and when it arrives. Not a bad gap vehicle since I was looking at 2-3 year old 4Runners.

I swear this guy is my kindred spirit!

"Driving it where a rabbit wouldn't go." has to be one of the most classic wheeler quotes there's ever been!!!

I'm now thinking green over Area 51, but still want my damn white top!
Haha. I stole that line from a Johnny Horton song……Battle of New Orleans.

There were a number of 2drs scheduled in July for August builds that were recently pushed back to September and October. Unless I read (and re-read and re-read) the FAQ incorrectly, those scheduled builds are still slated for MY21.
yeah - I'm in that group. According to the email I got from Ford this morning, I can "EXPECT" a 2021 model. Therefore, I'm hoping it will be delivered by end of the year -- I'm trying to be optimistic bro!! Lord save us!!!
