Here is a full estimated breakdown of the terrain Management System in the new Bronco aka G.O.A.T. mode.

keep in mind these are only assists. And can be manually adjusted if you so choose.
Ford Bronco G.O.A.T Breakdown! GOAT drive modes availability for each model / trim [projected] 392F297D-45DA-476E-88B5-ED8777A6DD26

also doing some digging. Couldn’t really find a big difference between mud and sand. I’m guessing mud is going to be more aggressive.

Good info, thanks. You have a source, or extrapolating from other vehicles?
extrapolating from the raptor as well as other vehicles in this segment.

I dont think badlands has the sport option.
there has been a few journalists that have said it does. And even fords own sources go back and forth on how many setting each trim has, (and most have typos and other errors) so for now I would say it does.

Electronically controlled exhaust dampers?!? I certainly hope so!!
just a guess. Ford likes throwing those and their air dam Grill on their sports vehicles so there is hope.

Looks like Ford engineers have no experience whatsoever driving a vehicle in the sand dunes. they chose 4H, Traction control on, normal throttle and soft transmission. Hopefully they allow us to manually change those options. Someone please take one of those dudes to Glamis and show them the way (y)

Guesses based on ford Raptor.

And sand is different than Baja.
That’s what Baja is for. The high speed RWD / 4H mode for the dunes.

Sand is the Slow going, some variants of terrain management systems use sand/snow. Just to give you an idea.

And yes as I put at the bottom.
All modes are customizable to some degree.

Good news on Sport Mode in the Badlands. I want the 2.7, but sport could be a deal breaker, I use the hell out of it in my 3.5!

Got it, I guess they mean by sand mode, "beach cruising" mode. Baja is almost perfect for our application but we just do it in 4 low skinny pedal to the floor to go over those big dunes. Thanks for the info

According to the sheet, FE and Badlands get rock crawl and baja instead of sport mode.

Exactly I don't where Devin got the info that these two models have all of the modes, his info is a wish and a guess. Why even post this info if there is no facts to back it up, just gets hopes up only to be disappointed later

where did you find sport is available on First Edition or Badlands
according to the 21_Bronco_lineup_HR.pdf they are not available on those two models

https://www.ford.com/cmslibs/conten...crossovers/bronco/pdf/21_Bronco_lineup_HR.pdf
I’m trying to find it again. It was via one of the major auto publications (car and driver, auto blog etc etc.)

But if you look at that PDF there is multiple errors.

I’m guessing it was just left off. No reason “sport” isn’t included .

You guys might be onto something. Checking the official “specs” they list the bronco badlands only having 7 modes not 8.

Makes me wonder why they are not including “sport” mode.

I would select 4H, Traction off, Locker off, High Throttle to avoid damaging the lockers or the transfer case with a high speed run. However, driving on tough sand dunes or very soft sand, I would switch to 4L, Rear Locker on.
In any case, If we can manually select the throttle and steering options, I would rather depend on the manual selection than on GOAT modes.
