Right now the First Edition is the halo trim with all the goodies from every trim level. After MY2021 the First Edition won't exist. So for MY2022 Ford will need to offer a new multi-year halo trim, another stop gap special edition trim or start offering the Raptor.

What do you think it will be?

better plan for deep pockets. Id say assume badlands content, starting at 70k. I considered waiting... but I really dont want to pay 80grand with leather and lux.
We're ready, I would hate to get into the First Edition and the Raptor just be incredible.

depends what you consider incredible. 5.0L v8? I think your hoping for too much.

how about maybe the 400/400 3.0L ecoboost from the explorer? automatic only of course. if that sounds incredible to you, Id say you will be waiting about 18-24 months.
Exactly, and that will have worse gas mileage with the same terrible exhaust sound lol. Would take alot more than that to get me to upgrade from the First edition into the second model year's top trim.

Yeah that is 18-24 months after the 2021 Bronco is released...so a long time. I think if you get the right version of the 2021 Bronco, you might be able to trade in on the 2023-24 Bronco Raptor very easy.

I am buying the first edition because it should hold resale value so I can sell it when the Raptor hits and I can have a Bronco with the V-8 it deserves not a half ass v-6

The raptor bronco will not get a v8. It will get an ecoboost v6, i wpuld expect the 3.0. The f150 raptor and ford gt should clue people in on the fact that ford is all about the ecoboost

Absolutely and to add to that, no way they are adding a mass produced v8 into their CAFE standards calculation.

Well hopefully the Raptor gets a V-8 or preferably the Diesel... If not I have a built 351 windsor I can put in it... Or attempt with enough lube and muscle to get a 7.3 powerstroke or 12v Cummins in it

Considering how big the ecoboosts are, that windsor may actually fall out. LOL

I own a 2016 F150 2.7 Ecoboost. I mean the truck has a lot of power, but that turbo lag drives me crazy sometimes. My wife just bought a 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee V6 and was noticing how nice it was to not have that log. I mean the EcoBoost engines are awesome, but there at times, it annoys the crap out of me. Ok ...rant over. give me my EcoBoost Bronco now, please. LOL
