Wildtrak was always MIC top as standard. So now for MY22 it will be soft top standard. Well I still want a MIC top so I guess we will see if the price protection really works since they are moving to MIC as option.

Thoughts on the price protection if I change my delayed 2 door hard top order from a Black Diamond to a Wild Track. If I'm allowed to change from BD to WT, will I still get the '21 WT price, or be subject to a price increase since that isn't my originally reserved model?

Doesn't help if Ford won't sell me a 2 door because they can't put a hardtop on it.

They've already said they won't offer a soft top on the 2 door, and there's no way they'll ship it with no top at all, so that means I can't get a 2 door bronco to put the soft top on....

They said the same thing about the WT

Wildtrak originally came with a MOD top. When they migrated it to MIC only, it did receive a price decrease. $1k I believe.

This is the soft top WildTrack my dealer has. Perhaps there are a few more out there. It’s for sale when it gets to 4 k.

Going forward, soft tops will be standard on WT's.

Originally Wildtraks had MOD tops standard.
Ford screwed the pooch with the MOD tops and made MIC tops standard.
Ford stewed the pooch again with the MIC tops and made soft tops standard.
But they still won't let you order one for MY21.
Ford is a bunch of pooch screwers.

interesting... that means that no models will have the Mod top as standard. I think that is the last nail in the coffin of Mod tops. They won't be coming in 2023 or ever is my guess.

I believe that Ford is working on production for the Mod Tops, probably available in 2023

FE was MOD then MIC. WT was MIC with optional MOD that they then took away so MY21 was MIC only. Now MY22 WT is Soft with MIC option.
