Interesting, I had to tear about 3/4 of the dash apart on my 19' SuperDuty to install the NavTV but this looks to be a bit more. All fairly easy stuff though, I'd do this in a warm environment though.

That's the good ish there. Still didn't make it to a bare firewall though.

Knowing Ford, in about 5-10 years we'll need to get familiar with finding and fixing blend door actuators.
Just did my buddies in his Lincoln MKS. It was easy-ish but a tedious pain in the ass to get to all the fasteners.

I'll be sure to bookmark this for my phantom bronco in case I never need this.

Great video! I can't wait to see some aftermarket ideas for the dash pieces.

Great walkthrough. Removing the airbag makes me nervous.

They did not remove the dash, they disassembled the dash for radio access. Removal is something else entirely and a completely different process. Usually you disconnect and remove the steering column then 2 bolts on each side and 2-7 near the windshield edge in most Fords I've done them on. The factory brings the dash to the vehicle as a completed assembly with a purpose built rig that helps the line assembly staff insert and place it for them to make all connections and affix it in place.

@philjmatt can you confirm if all of this is dash removal is necessary for a base bronco to gain access to the the speaker outputs. He doesn't fully remove the lower audio controls panel so can't see what wires are down there.
I assumed the speaker harness/connector plugged in this space on all 6-speaker models from your picture. Can you give some insight? Thanks!

Wow. Very interesting video. Impressed with the overall design by Ford. This guy's step by step is very well done. He clearly has been taking things apart his whole life. :)
For everyone who had issues with hard plastic appearance of the upper and lower dash trim pieces, they both look like they are simple to remove if you were inclined to have them painted or covered.
I guarantee I would have 1 or two screws left over when I put it back together...🤣

Hey there I have attached the directions on how to get to this point of the disassembly, and this is all you will need to do to access the factory wires as shown. They will be wrapped in the black cloth tape initially though.

Coming from someone that loves taking dashes out and getting to a bare firewall, y'all are a bunch of sissies. Just don't break stuff and make sure all of your screws go back and it won't rattle.

Adding usb power ports doesn't look to difficult.

I was interested in this too. I liked the idea of the USB port right behind the accessory mount on top of the dash. When I went on my test drive the other day I saw that is only on certain trims. Wonder if you could DIY your own outlet up there.

Usually I use a sawzall. This is more like removing the dash pad.

I am considering painting the black panel to body color when I get my Bronco. This video is extremely helpful. Thanks.
