How?! Build date within a week of "Reserve" (Now Marked up) (MARK UP REMOVED!)

Because your dealer had allocation left and you were the only buildable order. Without your reservation they would of got a stock unit built.

Yeah absolutely. I had no way of knowing I was going to be getting a Build Date within a week. I was set with my dealer to go in TODAY to sign a PO agreeing to MSRP. My luck is also my curse here since the Build Date came in before I could do that. My wife has gone back to teaching post-COVID so we are a one car family.

It's crazy to think that if the Build Date had been half a day later I would not be dealing with this.

Have you tried to get a hold of the owner? I know I’d start with him and tell him the story so far.

Got ahold of Sales Mgmt and Ownership. It felt like something straight out of a movie. They doubled and tripled down that the sales-person simply misspoke and that even if I hadn't gotten the Build Date they would have stopped me today when I came in to sign the PO.

They then said I was simply going to turn around and sell it privately for 10-30k mark-up myself, so MSRP just wasn't going to be something they would ever have agreed to.

When I asked if social media and community mattered to them they got defensive and said I could "make threats" all I wanted, but they'd have no trouble sleeping tonight.

What a rollercoaster today man. I cancelled my order with them, and just got my money returned.

Now it’s time to plaster this dealership and names all over the internet. On here, Facebook, wherever you can. Spread it everywhere you can. Hurt them every place you can but keep it to the facts only. Even if you cost them one customer it’s worth it.

Also online reviews-nail them hard on this deal.

I know, I’m not happy about it, but this took my whole day and was frankly pretty damn toxic. I’ll feel better when I’m in the Bronco I pay correct amount for knowing it wasn’t money that went to them. And to be fair, I haven’t had to wait as long as a lot of the members here, I can wait.

Change your order. Add sas, 2.7, hardtop. That way the dealer will not get one for a very long time. Take your business elsewhere.

Add the painted modular top and they will have to wait until 2023-24!
