Looks so much better with the black cover. But living Michigan, I worry about salt and water getting inside and getting trapped.
Does this piece wrap around the pinch weld or just cover the exterior surfaces? Is there a chanel for water to get trapped and sit?
It sits flush with the pinch weld and doesn’t wrap around the underside of the weld or up the back side of it. The best opportunity for seepage would be if you didn’t get a tight seal on the upper 3M tape strip. I suppose time will tell, but I won’t have it long enough to know since I’m trading it in when my 2dr BL shows up next year.

Nope, not as far as i know. Rock rails either.
Ford Bronco Pinch Weld Cover-Up: Don't Use Adhesive Trim PXL_20210916_030911867.NIGHT

I can confirm the rocker armor fits with the factory running boards. (Swapped out the rock rails on our First Edition)

It has robust drainage holes, it only covers the "face"/doesn't wrap below, it is very well secured and looks like it should have from the factory!

This is way better than the DIY adhesive trim solution.

Where did you purchase these?
Thank you

Yep, these should be standard. Held up through Moab and Colorado.

…and they fit with the step?….
I want to confirm with someone who has “real experience” before trying them myself 🙂

Yes, zero issues with the steps and the rocker armor coexisting. It's a bit of a pain installing with the steps still on but I made it work.

I installed the Trail Armor rocker panels on my BB yesterday. Looks much better and should provide protection against some of the rock damage we’ve been seeing.
Here’s some before and after photos:

This pinch weld feels like a Catch22 thing for people in the rust belt... Install rocker panel=possibility of water staying trapped and rust and corrode, do nothing and the exposed weld is begging to rust and corrode ...

I don’t believe so. The 3M tape seal on the top is air tight and if moisture does get in there are recessed areas on the bottom for water to drain.
