My co-pilot rated the trail about a 3, but there were really steep climbs and descents and a few ruts. The Bronco handled it with ease and comfort. It felt very nimble to me, not big or too wide.

Yes, the property is reservation land and typical of the Sonoran desert. Hilly and rocky desert terrain.Did you get to drive out in the desert?
I'd concur, I'd call the course moderate. The Bronco took it all easily. My co-pilot rated the trail about a 3, but there were really steep climbs and descents and a few ruts. The Bronco handled it with ease and comfort. It felt very nimble to me, not big or too wide.
Nice! A mini “Off Roadeo”?Yes, the property is reservation land and typical of the Sonoran desert. Hilly and rocky desert terrain.
Yes, one participant I talked to just finished the off rodeo in Vegas, and they said this was comparable.Nice! A mini “Off Roadeo”?
That’s nice to hear. I’m heading to the NV Off Roadeo on the 16th. I’ll need make sure and try a different rig.Yes, one participant I talked to just finished the off rodeo in Vegas, and they said this was comparable.
they had one while i was there we only had like 5 groups of people on our day it was nice and chill, I was in a BL cyber orange (yellow) with the sas. I think its the only one they have that color and that trim but almost all the ones we took were sas modelsI think they had a couple sasquatch but not sure if they had a 4 dr sas Badlands. They only had a couple 2 doors, one was a wildtrack. Maybe they did have a 4 dr sas BL now that I think about it.
Did you have a Bronco specialist with you? That was fun. Easy trail drive. Less challenging than the Power Line Road I used as a shortcut between New River Road and Table Mesa Road a few months back. But fun. (Google lies, that Power Line road was in no way an actual Road)
The Event has 7 Broncos, plus two displays. One of the displays is a stick, so that gives them an extra manual. I got to drive the display which was a 2-Door Black Diamond 7MT.
Almost stalled out once on a steep incline, but got it back down into 1st in time. Used Crawl to smash over some dirt/sand piles. Plenty of power with the 2.3 for off road use. Clutch felt smooth, though I would prefer a slightly heavier feel. Feels like a modern stock Mustang clutch.
NOTE: They are supposed to reserve the Stick Shifts for reservation holders that ordered a stick. Have a copy of your DORA or order sheet with you. (I had a copy on my phone)
They also give you a free Bronco hat. (I showed up wearing a Ford one)
There are a few uphills where you need to keep up your momentum. Also some sand pits. I never got stuck, so never got to try the rear locker, kept her in 4-Hi the whole time and never played with any of the Goat Modes.
Each driver has a Trail Guide. Mine was from FL and was surprised by how hot the MGV seats were. (Welcome to Arizona)Did you have a Bronco specialist with you?
No real opportunity to drive on pavement. Short stretch of paved road, I don't think I got it out of 3rd.Is there any opportunity to drive on paved roads? 90% of my driving will be on tarmac.
Ok. Thanks. Each driver has a Trail Guide. Mine was from FL and was surprised by how hot the MGV seats were. (Welcome to Arizona)
The guides know the Bronco reasonably well. There are other Bronco Specialists there to answer questions about the vehicles.
