Ford can produce a million plus F150s a year, I think they’re being overly pessimistic about their ability to crank these out, and possibly factoring in potential COVID shutdowns. If the delay gets rid of more fair weather bandwagon types, even better.
F150 is made in 2 Factories
Dearborn with 10m ft2 and 4500 employees
Kansas City with 4.7m ft2 and 7000 employee (kc almost makes the Transit so half that then)

so a total of roughly 13 million ft2 and 7000 employees for JUST the f150 vs

5 million ft2 And 3200 employees to build the ranger AND bronco.

I hope the model delivered in 2022 is a 2022 year and not a 21. I'd prefer a 22 delivery anyways.
If delivered a year 21 model, into the year 22, wanna discount on a year old model, or swap me out for the same 22 model..This, so I do not take an full year deprecation straight away... $trictly business folks...Maybe so happy, who cares! : )

This is really dumb. My Mustang is no match for Minnesota winters. I was really hoping to get an SUV for this winter but the Bronco reveal made me want to wait. But now it sounds like we could be well into next winter before my order would even ship. I should probably just buy a 4runner and get the benefit of a decade old design that is more or less a known quantity now.

Ford needs to come clean and clarify this more than just ninja-editing their website. I am thinking about just refunding my reservation at this point.

Puts me in somewhat of a bind. My 2010 Pathfinder has 216K miles on it. Right now my company will not allow us to return to work, so since my commute is gone I may be in the "more money towards the purchase price" crowd. If my office opens back up before the end of the year, I will most likely need a new vehicle before this is released.

Maybe Ford wants to align with the again delayed release of "Avatar 2", recently pushed to 2022? Ford is competing with James Cameron to see how far in the future they can push their products. ;)

or MAYBE they are pushing the delivery dates back so they can:
1. Figure out how to bolt the MT to the 2.7
2. Run some duct to 2nd row for the rear ac vents
3. Source some white paint for the hardtops
4. Look around the back of the warehouse to figure where they stored all that Velocity Blue paint
5. Did I miss anything?

Hopefully the delay is due to retooling for adding the option of manual with Sasquatch. Wishful thinking...

Sucks that deliveries were moved to Mid 2021 but my assumption is they are stating pre-orders could deliver into 2022 for anyone placing a pre-order now. If you did it over the first week, my guess is you will get one delivered in 2021. You pre-order now, your probably looking at 2022 due to the quantities of current pre-orders. Plus Ford does not want to quote you an early time window and miss it. But quote a later window and beat it and your company looks good. Also, i'm sure this is worst case for them where everyone keeps their pre-order, and that number should shrink by 25-50% when it comes down to actually order and possibly put a down payment on it.

I’m a big Tesla fanboy but cybertruck is still at least 2-3 years away. No way they deliver them end of next year.
