Does anyone else think that 90% of the forum members here could run a Ford dealer better than most of the ones in existence.

Wow.. i don't know if its major incompetence or major shady-ness. Soooooooo... frustrating...

I agree...I would call the dealer back and confirm the reason you need to come in. My dealer says they are not ready to take orders and Ford has not told them yet what the final available options will be, pricing, etc.
I have. They are "looking into it" and will call me back. They either thought I reserved a Sport (I didn't) or they just don't know there is a difference between the Bronco and Bronco sport. Fine...

My thing is they made it clear they only had 37 appointments available and that they "were filling up fast." That's where I was like, look I have a reservation and I'm going to have to call around because what you're telling me doesn't sound right.

How much of a deposit do you typically put down with your order. Is 5 -10% a safe assumption? Is it dealer dependent?

This is from Sheehy Ford Marlow Heights to be exact. I was contacted by Tracy Saunders the internet sales director via email today. I followed up with a couple phone calls because nothing was adding up. I'm currently waiting for a call back, because I gave him some questions he couldn't answer.

Doc Fee is a 100% profit mark up in itself.

I know the doc fee is bullshit .
I do lots of work for dealerships all over Nova and md . I’ve leased and bought cars from the places I’ve worked and never paid a dime in doc fees . Problem here is none of them are Ford dealerships?

Doc Fee is a made up fee to create more revenue for the dealer. The problem is legally the dealer can not take it off. They can not, charge one person and not charge the second person, or they are libel to a lawsuit.

What you can do is have them drop $500 on the price you are paying to make up for the doc fee charge. If you were paying invoice, say you want $500 below invoice. The dealer can do this if they choose to.

Dealer dependent, but my question with this one why stab the customer for more out of pocket and sit on it for months?

We are just using the $100 that is already in the account...

If it does not get picked up or the customer bails on it then we have a stock unit to sell...no downside that I can see..
