you are NOT gonna be happy with that....on road or off. I mean - it will work, but the performance will suffer.

Unless you like owning a 8/9 Speed Bronco with the occasional 10th gear I wouldn't run 35s on 3.73s. I have to be on pretty much level ground or barely accelerating on the highway to stay in OD with my 3.73s and 33in tires.

Why not bay?

My buddy runs 35" KO2s on an F250 with 3.73 gearing. While not ideal off-road, he doesn't seem to mind very much.

Was wondering the same thing. Ordered a big bend w/o sas and wanted to run 33" or 35" tires. Going to have the 2.3 and will be 90% on road.
Test drive 2.7 base with 35" and it did pretty good. Has more torque than the 2.3 so not sure how much difference I would feel.

Same here, But mines a 2.7 BB w/o sas. Trying to decide whether to go 33 or 35.

From the test drive on the 2.7 base w/35"s, I'd say do that. Engine had plenty of torque I felt. Plus 35"s look so good on the Bronco.
My concern was because I choose the 2.3.

I want to do that, but it seems like 95% of the people on here are saying its a bad idea... so it's just really a hard choice.

Nope!! Why do you think they have upgraded gears for the Sasquatch package? Now you could get away with it if you lived in let’s say my home state of North Dakota. It’s flat and no extra strain. I live in Colorado and have an Fj on 33’s with 4:56’s and it’s perfect.

Honestly unless you're going to do alot of off reading, I don't think it's a big deal.
Some people have posted about loss of torque, straining the engine with taller tires. This thing isn't a sports car, I doubt you would be able to tell any difference in speed.
The 2.7 w/o sas has the same 3.73 gear as the 2.3. But I'm sure the torque curves are a little different.

Yay, but you need to keep it in mind when off roading. Like i said in another thread, i've been running 35s for 6 years on my FJ Cruiser auto which is 3.73 gear ratio. Does it suffer mpg wise, yes it does and i live with it ( it has the aerodynamics of a brick, so nothing will help it ), does it suffer in trail at 1 mph not at all, 35s are the best size , IMHO. Do i have to be careful what i am doing, yes i do, but that's the same with any vehicle that you bring off road.
