Bronco vs deer

I have more experience with hitting deer than I do brush guards. Realistically speaking, how would the outcome have been different had a brush guard been present?
What level of protection does it provide in a situation like this?

Something is better than nothing on a project truck you've sunk weeks of effort into and totalled on a indecisive critter... This one was dancing near the median, saw me coming and crossed three lanes as I scrubbed speed to below 25 and dove across the shoulder line and still got it almost centered on the front bumper. It then got up and wandered back into the road and was run over by three cars and a semi finally flung it back against the center median...

It was a base bumper, my nephew built the upper protection. Bent and welded 2 and 3 inch heavy pipe. Had to add a leveling kit due to the wt 280lbs

if you had a bull bar that stuck out and angled back it would push the deer down into the bumper hitting it that centered . Or like my 2010 f150 I had the Weston HDX. covered everything and had plate uprights with rubber i beam style ends. Nothing got through and I could push without scratching up other vehicles. Hoping one will come for the bronco

You would have had a brush guard in you radiator.

I plan on making something solid that squares of the headlights. We dont have enough deer here to do any damage but it will give peace of mind when on any trails.
