Hello humans,

I'm not one to create threads without due diligence for searching previous ones.
These come kind of close
ish: badging, porque manuél?, order plans; but still don't provide us with conclusive, quantitative data on which gearshift your soft warm palms will be caressing.

So here we are. I want to understand in a data-driven, inclusive, receptive, unprejudiced, impartial, undogmatic, neutral, non-partisan, anti-discriminatory, objective, approach on which transmission you plan on going with for your Bronco or Bronca.

Don't worry, all results are anonymous so no worries on unmasking the years of your wisdom.
Just want to understand the market and demographical landscape as we head into the new world order.

Feel free to drop a comment to say hi ✌

Cheers

As one in the baby boomer category I voted auto, but I have a caveat. If I were buying for me to drive exclusively I would buy a manual. But, since my Bronco will also be a road trip of 5K+ miles it needs to be an auto just in case the wife wants, or needs to drive. She can drive a manual, but hell hasn't frozen over yet. ? :ROFLMAO:

Okay I'm not going to lie, this literally made me laugh out loud ?; but also the results are kinda fascinating, in a good way. Don't want to say more and bias the thread!
Nice work posting original content @icavedin!

I had my wife confirm the # of margaritas I’ve had once I read this thread.

Ami, thanks for making me tilt my head sideways like my dog trying to understand something.

Early gen y I guess. Want a manual but also want 2.7 so leaning auto.
You sir, are a millenial! Embrace it.
At least we're chewing at our fingers bits for a manual and aren't complaining about air conditioned seats, yet are still often labeled as the soft 'snowflake' generation.
A bit ironic, eh? ;)

Results of this may be skewed as certain options require the automatic transmission. Options which I imagine are going to be very popular choices.
Sasquatch and 2.7 engine both require automatic if i'm not mistaken.

Ah! So you're saying the results are actually in the slushbox's favor?
Interesting, albeit still an impressive turn out from the standard crowd!

Wake up fellow Baby Boomers - we grew up driving manuals while singing Beach Boy songs about manual cars

This thread is weird af and I dig it.

It also confirms my suspicion that millennials actually do like driving stick. Which makes sense because most of my friends can drive stick.
Millennials that actually have a great interest in vehicles tend to like driving stick. Those that only see a car as means from A to B tend to not care or not know how. At least that's been my experience. And which do you rekon would be on this type of forum? lol. I was pretty much the only kid in my highschool that drove a manual transmission to school everyday. And my graduating class was over 900. But I did personally teach multiple friends how to drive stick, so the interest is there, though definitely not widespread.
