I really wish Ford would have put rain gutters on the MIC. They have 100s of roof racks already available for vehicles with rain gutters.

Not sure if possible, but it would be great to have a half sized (maybe modular) option that mounts to the rear shell and allows the removal of the front hard top panels.

I really just want 2 cross bars on the rear of my MIC top, that install and create a foundation and a modular rail that bolts on to those rear bars to tie forward to the front mounts IF I need them.

that way I can have my maxtrax and scene lighting installed all the time on the rear section of the hard top and still be able to pull off my top panels or use a sun rider style top.

then if I need to toss on my RTT I could add the forward bars and be good to go.

the modular part would look like this. Orange being the rear bars that stay on all the time and blue being the optional add on section for larger items.

^ I’m into that as well!

I’m curious if ADV Fiberglass will keep some geometry with the clamshell consistent so that ideas like this will work with MIC or their aftermarket version.

I thought Ford had listed an additional rack bar for that location at one point. I looked but no longer see it. If it shows up again, it would be perfect for what you want.

I'd like to see mostly flat, but full front to back rails. I like @Mikerider idea too. Think maybe a modular basket would be cool.

@EIGHTLUG I like the half-rack concept mentioned above....but for a 2 door. I want the option to use a bestop sunrider

Liking the idea of using carbon fiber, low profile, flat

I was pretty happy with my front runner rack on my G wagon… Something with a ladder would be good.

I simply want a cross bar system that will allow me transport bikes and kayaks be it dogs high enough to allow for the front and mid roof panels.
