There are so few MIC hard tops made. Why Ford doesn't consider 2 door soft top.

I would for sure take a soft top 2 door if it means I can get it and actually know when I am getting it- even if it is in 6, 8 months, etc.

Dude, do you actually live in Oregon**?! Because a hardtop won’t save you there any more then a softtop, at least there is less damage with a softtop.

**Yeah, I can say it, I grew up and spent my younger adult years in Oregon, was nice, now a shit hole imo.
Yep...I live here and was an LEO. Soft tops are asking to be knifed in to. Saw it happen a lot. With the rain and snow here (area dependent) IMO, for ME....a soft top is out of the question. Anything can be broken in to but I will make it as difficult and painful as possible.

Seriously, does Ford have an explanation for not offering a soft top as standard for the 2 dr like a Jeep?

Ford likely does not see the challenge of increasing the soft top production by an order of magnitude as any easier than getting their hard top process working.

I get that, but why not offer it in the first place? Before all this happened?

I have a suspicion that if orders were 80/20 2D/4D instead of 80/20 4D/2D as they are now, 2D would have a soft top option 😉

What will happen is once two door owners start putting on aftermarket soft tops, Ford will then make soft tops a factory option. When they watch the owners pulling off the model badges and replacing them with the script Bronco logo, Ford will switch to a version of that on the line.
