Now I have to convince the wife we don't need a truck. After the dealer kept telling me to not expect a build date until 2023 I convinced her that we needed a truck...

Just received my order email:

• Reservation date 2 December 2020
• Build schedule date 10 January 2022
• Big Bend, Manual Transmission, 2.3L, 2-Door, MIC, rear lockers
• Cloth sandstone interior, hot pepper red, standard package, purposely no other options

My first new MT in over 30 years, definitely my last new MT given the automotive trends. I'm thinking of my father when I write this - next week it will be 15 years since he passed.

No expectations here on quick delivery, I'm expecting Q2 of next year. Still super exciting!

I got mine scheduled for production on January 10th! Beyond happy to have a vin number. Put off looking at my email all day and checked in at 5:30. What a family celebration! I didn’t even know what to do with myself for a good fifteen minutes after viewing it. Expecting some bumping maybe but happy to be one step closer.
