Don’t know if this has been discussed…. But found this out today… come to a stop and engine stops… but if you let off the brake and engine restarts… mash it again and it cranks back up… it will stay running… simple and easy…

You can also just put some turning pressure on the steering wheel and it’ll fire up.

Until you stop again. I have auto stop on my F150. I do two things every time I start my truck....push the auto start off button on the dash and push the sport mode button on the gear shift lever. Together, these two things take 2 seconds. I really don't understand why folks feel the need to try to find a way to permanently disable the auto stop function.

I'm quite happy when the engine cuts off and I'm not burning fuel, especially when I'm in Eco mode. Not sure what all the fuss is about.

Or you can just not mash the brake in all the way when you come to stop, it even gives you a second to find the spot. This isn’t coming out the way I thought it would, but hope you get the idea.

Pretty sure the fuss is just so people have something to complain about. I don't even notice the stop start.

Some say it’s bad for the engine long term.

Generally I do the same but damn I’m does it feel terrible when it restarts at a light. Bleck.

"Some" who? What evidence do "some" offer? Not discounting that this may be true, but would like to know what the truth is.

Not sure what the "feel" means. I'm just glad it wasn't running for that minute or two. Kind of like the feeling seeing solar panels on my roof. Some think they are an eye sore, but I think they're beautiful.

The Bronco has a built-in hack for this too. After you press the button to start your Bronco, move your finger 6 inches and press the fancy button to disable auto-stop/start.

I don’t have the means to go into detail about it but I’m sure there are folks on here that would.
