i dont think the base model has keyless goKey fobs pointless design these days. You never take it out of your pocket for anyone to see it. All the trims have standard keyless go. I can't remember the last time I took out my Mustang fob out of my pocket when out and about. I probably never have.
Why dont you leave it in your pocket? It's a running joke among JL owners. There's a meme. It's too big. There are hacks to make the metal key flip out less easily as it tends to deploy in your pocket (insert juvenile joke here). I do appreciate that it's meant to look like a jerry can and that there is a specific place to stow it between the cup holders. My gripe about fobs vs keys is that a fob needs a place. Dropping it in a cup holder feels sloppy and poorly planned. My favorite actually are the fob/key hybrids that you actually insert into a socket. The market seems to be going away from those though.

I could. Sometimes I do. If I'm driving home I'll leave the fob in the Jeep in my garage. Why dont you leave it in your pocket?
gotcha, to be clear I really wanted to know. I wasn't being snobby.I could. Sometimes I do. If I'm driving home I'll leave the fob in the Jeep in my garage.
That's all my truck uses. I still like it more than pushing any buttons. My locks freeze up in the winter though...so i guess there's thatUnpopular opinion: I would do some borderline innapropriate things to have a normal key like this again.
Anybody else? Oh just me ok.
I'll go half-way there with you icavedin. I would love an actual key for starting a car, or, even inserting and turning a key, and then hitting a START button (Ă la my old s2000). But I'm not mourning the gradual extinction of key holes on doors.Unpopular opinion: I would do some borderline innapropriate things to have a normal key like this again.
