MIC Top 2.0 vs Touchless Car Wash - Video & Results

Well, after a little over two weeks and 550 miles since delivery, I decided to get the dust off the Bronco. Temps have been cold, today was single digits. I park in my garage at night that I keep around 70 degrees. So this afternoon I decided to run it through my go-to car wash, a touchless place close to home.

I won't lie, I was nervous. I brought towels with me and had nothing in the cup holders just in case.

I am happy to report zero issues! No leaks! My top has a primer date sticker of 10/14.

Just wanted to share since there is a lot of concern. I know this isn't the best test, but we won't have rain until April so it's all I have.

I won't deny, my southern-most sphincter puckered up a bit when I heard that water jet hit the roof, and I don't even own a Bronco!

That's a good test. Especially with the vehicle roof height
closer to the wash arm.

How is your top holding up? Edges look good? no delam or honeycombing?

Did it a couple of times in my soft top also, no issues except the sphincter tightening mentioned above at the sound of jets hitting the piece of cloth between you and the water

Hahaha! Love it you even removed items from cup holders! We've had no issues with our 4dr MIC either, NO interior dripping in the SC rain, the same as a car wash!

Thanks for this! I live behind the longest carwash at Buc'ees in Katy but was a bit hesitant, so we hand washed at home after getting back from Hidden Falls. Didn't want to be the lab rat. LOL

What about soft-top though?

I took my soft top through a similar touchless car wash on Saturday.
It was nerve wracking with how loud it was spraying the fabric. However, it held up fine, no leaks, no water inside the Bronco. Everything looked just fine.
I'm getting my PPF installed today (just dropped it off) and am not worried about taking it through a touchless either.

You know, as I filmed I thought how crazy it was. But I also remember waiting for my Bronco and grabbing any info I could. With as much negative press the MIC had got, I figured I share a "win".
